    Hiyya guys I love your work ~ such an inspiration! I'm currently wrapping my own motorcycle, a Honda CBR1000RR and it's a real challenge but SO rewarding.
    I'm an engineer by trade and just thought to point out that denatured alcohol is actually much more dangerous (toxic) than isopropyl alcohol because denatured alcohol is actually Ethanol that has been denatured with methanol (very toxic).
    It may smell sweeter but it's often the nice smelling stuff that's the worst for you!
    Thanks again and much love from Australia.

    Thank you for all the great information! It's great to have confirmation that I'm doing things right haha, I use most of the same products. Loving the Harry Potter vibe and dig the awesome snake armband! Thanks so much for all your videos, you guys are awesome for sharing all this info.

    Wow, some very good information there. I use some of the exact products, so it made me feel better to know I'm on the right track with basic vinyl installs. #1 trick I picked up was your little secret for oxidized paint. Wow! I will use this in the future on old paint. BTW I have consulted in this industry since the mid 90's and I never stop learning tips & tricks to share. Thanks Guys! McNair Signs & Graphics, est. 1959

    I am well impressed with your knowledge and your obvious passion and interest you have about your trade. I wish you were local to me. I had no idea about how much prep was needed. I am currently getting my first car wrapped, so keen to know what to expect. It is good to see what I can look for. I am in the UK, so many of the product names are alien to me. I know the name 'Home Depot' but it is not in the UK. You are now saved in my favourites.

    On the future shine, do you just wipe it on and then wipe right off? Do you have any long term stuff out there when using it?
    Another trick for bugs and debris that is really cheap and very easy to come by if you can’t find clay bar is dryer sheets (bounce, gain, balance, dollar store) I prefer the dollar store brand because they do the samething and are cheaper and they have no scent ones. Wet them and then just start wiping away the bugs and contaminants! Then obviously go over the area with your favorite cleaner.
    Great channel guys! Love it.

    • @WrapSesh
      @WrapSesh  Před 6 lety

      Ryan Dayon on the future shine, you want to use ether a rag or applicator pad. Once you wipe the area you don't want to use anything else after, usually it will be your last step before install. (Make sure you let it dry between coats) Depending on the texture you can use multiple coats if needed. If you try and use alcohol to wipe an area that is coated it can mess up that area.
      I'm going to have to try that dryer sheet trick tho for sure! And thanks for watching!

    For oxidized paint:
    Try kick acid- it’s an aluminum wheel cleaner
    Play with the dilution, but usually 1:4 works pretty well
    Curious to know if you have used xylene/xylol instead of rapid remover

    Our prep procedure based by tips from our friends - detailers.
    1. Snow foam wash
    2. Hand wash (with car shampoo)
    3. Tar&glue remouver
    4. Iron off
    5. Hand wash
    6. Claybar (whole surfece that we will wrap)
    7. Final clean with 70% IPA or Avery surfece cleaner
    Right before wrapping IPA (or Avery SC) one more time just to be sure and tack cloth.

    I see y'all work on a lot of new cars but have y'all tried using scrubbing bubbles. Older cars that are super dirty that scrubbing bubbles works magic then I hit it with the same denatured alcohol y'all use. Just a thought for y'all. Plus it makes your shop smell amazing!! How can I email y'all and talk with y'all. I have been wrapping for 6years and obsessed with y'alls videos. I want to meet y'all and wrap with y'all!!!

    Hey im about to try my hand in wrapping my MT03 and just wondering...how do i prep matte paint? Im told that i cant use wax on a matte finish so just wondering if i can use any of these harsh solvents on it?

    I have really enjoyed your videos. Fun and informative. I have a 30' carbon mast on a catamaran that I would like to warp with a vinyl warp to protect the carbon. The mast is exposed to the sun almost year round and is sailed in salt water. The mast has some blemishes (fogging) in the clear coat finish. Not to the oxidation stage yet. Also the mast is lightly textured where you can feel the carbon fiber. Not the smooth finish like the paint on a car. I saw you recommended the Pledge Floor Care Finish. It sounds like the Pledge might be the right stuff to use on the mast before wrapping. How long should I let it dry? Do you know if the Pledge goes by a different name now? I can't find the exact bottle / product at Walmart. I found Pledge Revive It Floor Gloss. Is that the same product by a new name? Thanks and keep the videos coming.

    I've heard, but I'm not 100%, but denatured can damage new paints, due to water base? Again, not 100%, but I preferred isopropyl myself. 70% spray nozzles fit right on to the bottle just cut the stem a bit :)

    • @WrapSesh
      @WrapSesh  Před 6 lety

      Austin Ray I have not heard that, but definitely worth looking into, thanks for the tip! Weve used both, I think we just prefer smell of the denatured, more than anything
