man I really need one of these. my old 360 controller is on its last legs
This looks like a very useful device. However, I wish that one of the CZcamsrs reviewing this would invest in the adapter for Original XBox, and show the Wingman working with the OG XBox.
That's honestly on me. I completely forgot the original Xbox didn't have a native USB port when I started shooting, and by that time it was already too late to order one and get it in time. I wish I had though. If I manage to get my hands on one, I'll record a short of it in action.

If it makes you feel any better I’ve been using the XB1 with an Elite 2 controller with no issues on the original Xbox. Waiting for my XB2 to show up next week!

Thank God I never grew up with the OG and got one recently and I sorta find the slanted buttons on the duke to be annoying even after playing xbox 360 and on since 2006. This is huge that it exists. Maybe it’s the fact I am also playing the Xbox versions on ps2 games so it’s extra funky.
It does work on the original Xbox. I have the adapter and I use an Xbox one controller on it

Skate 3, I'm worried that my bumpers are going to implode on my 360 controller. That and the rubber gripping is MUCH better on my PS4 controller too.
Has something like RetroRGB's favorite lag tester been used with one of these (and then without) to give us concrete numbers on this adapter's latency? I'd absolutely love to use my XBox Series controller on my 360 or original XBox, so long as latency is low and consistent.
I'm not sure if he's run these things through the latency test, but I'd like to see that as well. All I can say is that during my time with it, I came away impressed. But as far as actual frame data goes, I'm afraid I can't give you anything concrete.

Have you tried an Xbox one controller on the 360 yet? I use my Xbox one controller on og xbox no probs with the xb2. I just tried to use it on 360 but no luck syncing the controller. The aftermarket pS3 connected easily but no luck with the xbox one controller.

I can confirm it does. Just make sure to update the Brooks firmware and you're good to go.
Do you know if the rumble works?
Heads up, the Series controllers no longer work wirelessly with the XB 2. Microsoft put out an update to Series controllers that saw them switch from standard Bluetooth to Bluetooth LE, making a wireless connection to the XB 2 impossible. Wired connection still works though!
😢. I only use my Series controller wirelessly over pc.
Haven't plugged in and updated it since I got it 2 years ago.

I'm having an issue, and I'm curious if anyone knows what's wrong:
I just got a Wingman XB2. When it works, it works great. The issue being, no matter if my controller is plugged in and wired, or if it's connected wirelessly....it disconnects/turns off after like 20 seconds or so. And then if it's wireless, it won't automatically reconnect when I turn it back on, meaning I have to re-pair it, only for it to disconnect 20 seconds later again.
Any help here?

Did xb2 support gyro on ds5?
Does the headphone jack works while the controller is in wireless mode or wired mode ?
Sorry I can't give you a definitive answer, but the jack doesn't seem to work using an Xbox One controller with the adapter for PS4 & Switch, so it probably won't work in this case either.
This looks cool but what about controllers without USB or Wireless? In short, the older controllers that had weird plugs instead of USB? I guess I could always plug in my "Old Generation" adapter that lets me use original Nintendo Gamecube, Playstation 1 and 2 (wired), Xbox Original(wired), etc into it and see if the adapter works with my OG adapter so I can use non-usb controllers or just controllers with weird adapters. (adapter + adapter = Awesome(if it works?)) It usually works great on my PC for playing retro games. I do wonder if the XB2 can be plugged into a Playstation and used to play Xbox controllers on it.

Do you need to update it or do any installation on the computer first, or can you just plug and play ?
I didn't do any sort of updating before using mine in this video. That may not necessarily be true forever, but as of now it worked for me right out of the box.

I have had for this for a day. Now my series x spits out unauthorized controller. The ps5 I have hooked up to feels floaty, loose and not tight. Is there any remedy for this?

Do you have replug wire in each time to use PS4 on Xbox once powered off on ?
you dont need to replug it but you have to manually turn on the xbox. Once the console is on, the controller can connect automatically without the wire.

when i want to start the software for an update, my computer blocks it bc it says there is a Trojan Gen. 9 in it

I don't believe so. This is for using other controllers on Xbox consoles.
I know this is an old post but there are other converters for different consoles & controllers.

Nope. You'll need at least 4 of these adapters if you want to use 4 controllers with it.

I didn't even think of trying to test this through online play, though I can't imagine that would change much in terms of input lag on a controller level.
