That's impossible, hedge funds can only sell stocks short. They can't just buy it. Maybe the fund was just trying to cover a large short position, DFV noticed it and warned the apes. I should write a DD on this.

To be fair, there was a 4-way stock split in 2022. The $480 peak in 2021 is equivalent to $120 today. So in pre-market trading yesterday, it briefly hit 67% of the all time high and traded in the 40-60% range. It's still based on absolutely no substance, but I never thought I'd see it trade for even a second north of $80 again. Apes had a little more juice left than I expected.

My cost basis is $43/share. Been buying and holding since Jan ‘21. When shorts start closing I’ll update my exit strategy but for now it’s a strong hold. Rabid investor base that refuses to sell their shares, $1.2B cash in hand, zero doubt, full year of profitability, CEO that refuses compensation, new in-house products, a lot of short interest… it seems like a no brainer bullish stock to me
