I remember going to MGM studios around the time 1 saturday morning started airing and it wasnt uncommon to find doug shirts being sold there.

1997 was the year I was born, so I don't really have personal memory of the initial "One Saturday Morning" version of this block. I also don't remember seeing it during its relaunch in 2002, as I primarily remember watching "Nick on CBS" during that time, but I do have vague memory of watching the "Dino Thunder" and "SPD" arcs of Power Rangers during that time, as well as some of "Mystic Force" before the block's motif changed to the "Rock Concert" aesthetic. Most of the time I watched ABC Kids during its last four years, I would oftentimes only watch "The Emperor's New School" and "The Replacements", though I would also stay for "That's so Raven" if it was a favorite episode (such as "Food for Thought" as an example). Though by the 2010-11 season, I had been watching the block somewhat less often, but I do remember watching its final broadcast on August 27 of 2011. Even though I didn't know the details of why it was discontinued until several years later.

I remember Saturday Morning September 14 2002, for Us Twin Cities Kids, FOX Kids on FOX 29 WFTC became The FOX-Box on FOX 9 KMSP, Disney’s One Saturday Morning on ABC became ABC Kids on ABC 5 KSTP, and Nick Jr. on CBS became Nick on CBS on WCCO 4 CBS Minnesota!😂🤣❤️📺🎶👍🏻

I remember Watching Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC. My Favorite Shows on the Block were Recess, Pepper Ann, The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show. The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, Disney's Mickey Mouse Works and Disney's House Of Mouse

I admit I never got into ABC kids as much as I probably should have maybe its because I had a hard time letting go of one Saturday Morning and bonus sucky fact Kim Possible was the one show I never saw probably for timezone reasons

Not having cable as a kid, I always hated whenever Disney Channel shows would stop airing on ABC Kids.

I stopped watching in 2007 when I noticed Saturday morning cartoons kept disappearing. Plus I'd just moved to a different state so I assumed everything was different.

Fun Fact: The 2002-2006 Sports Motif may or may not have been inspired by a similar branding effort by its spiritual predecessor Fox Kids during the 1996-1997 season. That year, Fox Kids introduced a branding package called "Experience The Extreme" which features its shows for that year interacting with real kids in various sports venues. This having been the 1990s there was somewhat of a greater focus on extreme sports (hence the slogan) but it was otherwise the same idea. Unfortunately, Fox's effort lasted less than half a year and was replaced at midseason by "Fox Kids Rocks Kids", a hard-rock themed branding campaign which had two versions (one for spring 1997 and an updated look for Fall) and may have likewise been inspiration for ABC's post-2006 look. I was wondering when they started airing the shorter opening showing the kids at a park. To be honest I prefer the September 2000 opening over the 1997 opening with the factory. My favorite schedule is probably the spring 2001 schedule.

Unpopular opinion but i actually preferred ABC Kids over Disney's One Saturday Morning. The ABC Kids fall 2004 schedule was LIT AF!!! I didn't care for Kim Possible a whole bunch but i love that they had a whole hour of Raven! Then The Proud Family, Lilo and Stitch (which is better than Emperor's New School), Power Rangers Dino Thunder, which is my favorite Disney series of PR. The fall of 2004 had the best schedule.

While abc kids isnt as memorable as one saturday morning (at least in my opinion) its kind of a shame that abc kids didn't update itself since the fall of 2006 I mean shows like phineas and ferb are perfect for the e/i requirement Then again even if they did update the block it would be too late Especially since the fcc continues to create mandates for childrens programing Its busness as usual Plus cartoon network, nick, and disney has cartoons everyday so saturday mornings in 2006 and 2007 is no longer special anymore

Wow! So informative. And I thought it was the "Twerp-ology" from Team Rocket that stopped airing it (which was the reason for me to stop watching Pokémon at the time, which I have since tolerate especially with Jessie, who I now call her my respectable frenemy). So it was money AND time that ended its run on Kids WB, that and so much merchandising, which is the reason, the main reason why some of our favorite shows (even though they had a good run) get cancelled. And on a personal fan note, no disrespect to the other voice talent in the later seasons, including Sarah Natochenny, but I will always think of Veronica Taylor is de-facto voice for Ash Ketchum. And looking back on what Pokémon has left behind, it was indeed a national phenomenon, even dealing with Team Rocket's antics and "Twerp-ology".
