It's a great example of crippling overspecialization. The problems F1 had with manhole covers and even pavement repair strips in Vegas was another - beat-up Cavaliers and Neons that haven't seen a professional mechanic in 20 years (Nevada is a non-inspection state) handle it every day but the pinnacle of automotive technology can't.

I have back issues, and I use cryotherapy sometimes to shrink the nerves when they flair up. It works. It also helps my other muscles. I dont do ice baths....its too brutal. Most cryochambers don't do your head, and it cools gradually.

The reason that is so hard to start is they lost the key. It took them hours to find it-

Oh please, they can not protect that intellectual property if a competitor really wants it. It's a tax write off to shred the tires. If someone really wanted that intellectual property all they need to do is break into a tire warehouse, or bribe someone who works at one of the tire warehouses or get one of their own people to work at the tire warehouse. There are other holes too. Any of the pit crew on any team, or anyone involved in the shipping of the tires. I'm sure there is some underpaid guy on some assembly line out there that could make bank off selling some of those tires. Hell, even one of the tire shredder guys could get a hold of some of the tires. Just swap in some tires from a normal car to be shredded. I doubt they are going to examine all of the shredded tires.

Why not use some of the tires for tire barriers on F1 circuits?

The groves in the tyres also allow the rubber to move around more and therefore create more heat.

This micro managing of the tires is just one more reason F1 is becoming boring. i am all for the return of the tire wars or at least let teams control the pressure etc..

All sports have a certain carbon footprint, but motor sports have to be the worst, and F1 the worst of the worst. At this point v claiming it’s a great test bed to make consumer vehicles better rings hollow. Good hybrids existed in the consumer market long before F1 ever considered using the idea.

Such a waste of materials and resources. Alot of less fortunate folks could eat for months on what is wasted on racing at this level

For f1 fans who wanted tyres but Pirelli are scared of competitors... Why not sell older tyres because they improve every year or give us compounds that aren't used anymore eg the pink banded supersofts snd so on before the c series rebrand even
