I make videos about building tech products and startups. I enjoy working on 0-1 problems and take 120% responsibility in what I believe in building. I also share interesting conversations I had with friends and great connections in my network.
This channel was started when I was a Master's student at MIT studying Data Science and Operations Research (Class 2020). My life back then was filled with lots of fun, deadlines and thought-intriguing discussions. After graduation I worked in Data Science at Google and have fallen in love with the entrepreneurship space ever since. So my channel is a bit of a mix of all of these. Hit me up if you are into Data/Product, Startups/VC and Pokémon/OnePiece.

Chinese local founders on AI & EV: global expansion, market competition/bans, overcapacity/tariffs
I travelled in China for 2 weeks and have talked to quite a few founders, practitioners and investors in both AI and EV industries. This video is about how Chinese founders and leaders in tech giants think about AI strategy these days, given the challenges of market competition both domestically and internationally. I also shared some thoughts on Chinese EVs in this video regarding the domestic EV market vs global expansion strategies given US and EU are putting tariffs on Chinese EVs.

Hard agree on things seeming much more “put together” from the outside prior to joining a large company. You learn very quickly after joining that they still are trying to figure things out the same as everyone else.

YC is just for Ivy leagues right?
I don’t think so
@@SeanTechStories I think you are a great person and you'd accomplish a lot of things. But the reality is that, they invest on the person not the project because that's how they want to make money. It's more attractive for PR someone who have their diploma in a ivy League than someone who got their diploma in the middle of nowhere.
Hey thanks for the kind words. I think for sure people with a fancier background will have a higher chance of getting in or at least just having an opportunity to talk to one of their partners. I won’t deny that and I think this is generally applicable for most investors. But I also saw great teams without Ivy League degrees who proved themselves able to produce track records of execution and sales who got in after getting certain amount of recognition on the market. At the end of the day, getting in a reputable program doesn’t matter too much. It’s good as a starting point for any early stage founders but eventually it all goes back to building something people want;) Best of luck on your journey!
It’s not. They get applications from all over the world.

Thanks Zack! Looking forward to your next breakthrough!
From an outsider's perspective, it appears that you might need to undergo a certain process. It seems like your primary goal is to gain acceptance to Y Combinator as if it were a university. Instead, your focus should be on building your company. If you can't succeed without YC, then you may struggle even with their support. YC could be seen as a shortcut in this game, but it's essential to navigate the stages independently. You sound smart and with potential but take yourself a time to think a build yourself.
You are right on point😊 Thanks for your reminder.
Thanks, Sean that was really helpful. You short content brims with value, thank you.

I guess I don't understand the process. Not sure how much patience I would have to be traveling out to an interview and be told "I don't like your idea". It's like bro, I submitted this idea and ya'll reviewed it and invited me out here.

DUDE, the yt algo is wild These are my exact feelings right now. Regret is a huge. But trying to escape the ecochambers that are naturally created by your colleagues and family is very tricky. Their version of reality can be strongly cemented so any deviation from that reality could be seen as lunacy. GOOD LUCK and please go to Waitrose and have a prawn sandwich on me!
