Thanks for the slow mo, it really helps understand form and mechanics!
Practical, helpful, and progressively staged from beginners to advanced. Great content and welcome back!
Much appreciated 🤘🏼
What weight clubs would I be looking to get if my conventional workout includes 25-30 pound dumbells?
15lb would be fine

Excellent as always! Love to see the solid info!💯
Tame the arc
I have the shoulderok and I love it. I went on to hate on you, but after watching your video... you're a beast and I was impressed instead (first video I've seen). my experiences have been very positive with the mace, but I appreciate the honest review. well done.
I just watched this last week and I ordered a mace from onnit and they are telling me it won't last long and will break as it's not made to be struck Into a tire. I bought one for this very reason, instead of a sledgehammer. How has your onnit mace lasted while bashing a tire??
They of course need to say that for liability purposes. Second, my tire is meant for a tractor…so it’s very thick and has a great rebound effect when I strike the inner tire with good form. So it’s lasted for years with me and my clients. Ive seen many use compact car tires to strike…which is really pointless. The half tires dont seem to do much either because thats where most tires have very thick treads (giving it no rebound). So the concern shouldn’t really be the mace, but what quality of tire you’re striking with a good rebound. So if you’re striking crap tires with crap form…a mace or sledgehammer wont last long.
Sick shirt
🤘🏼🤘🏼
Ive been using the mace for a while, and I love it, but I do want to get into clubs soon. I already use indian clubs
Good stuff.
Love this one. Learned it from you years ago! Thanks coach!
Sure thing 🤘🏼
Love this content bro. 20 plus year lifter here and as I get older I see myself gravitating towards mace, club and kettlebells. These videos are expanding my mind so it’s much appreciated my man. 🙏
Thank very much for the feedback 👍 More to come 🤘🏼

Great tips and great shirt as well!
As a beginner I found the mace pulled more on my inner tendons of my elbow causing tendinitis (golfers elbow) as opposed to club. Hence I’ve stuck with just clubs and will eventually go back to mace when my tendons are strong enough.
Been finding this comment pretty common nowadays, and makes a lot of sense. Totally agree clubs are a better fit with those with elbow issues.
Last workout is really cool. I ended up having to get my hip replaced and it made me really nervous to get back into the gym so I got a mace Bell to start working out from home and I feel like my workouts have been more effective than when I even went to the gym. I love the mace bell it’s such a powerful workout tool. Makes me feel great and it kicks my ass!
Such a challenging move that works the entire upper body
gooood
Clubs 1st then you work to the mace
Nice 👍
Cool. Just found your channel. How heavy a mace are you using in this video?
Welcome to the channel. I’m using a 40lb steel mace in this video, but recommend beginners shouldn’t go any heavier than 10-15lb when first starting.
I've struggled with golfers elbow when doing lots of 360s with my 25 pound mace. Will Indian clubs help with that or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Well the key thing I read there was “lots of 360s.” If you’re having elbow issues, you should do a minimum of 10 reps each side, and if there’s still pain…you may need to take a break from mace training. But yes, Indian clubs will greatly help (not cure) tennis elbow if done with a consistent warm up routine.

I have always struggled with two handed 360s, they have always felt clunky and weird. One handed 360s have always come naturally for me though. Maybe I'm the odd one haha.
Same, I prefer 1H 360s or H2H 10&2’s rather than 2H variations.
Good 👍
Excellent!
It's a great use for the lighter maces after you work up to heavier 2 handed swings
I think heavy clubs should def. go first. The adaptive gains you'll get from working through 2 or even 3 different weights on clubs will pay off when you move to the mace. Because the mace tends to be "lighter", people usually think they can swing for a lot of time, but their tendons and ligaments are many times not ready for this type of load and tendonitis becomes a real issue for many.
solid information as always, coach! thank you!
Yes sir at my age i cant omit the warm up. Also, theres something pleasurable about getting a good flow going with single hand clubs thats hard to out into words
Caught in the treads 🤘

thank you

Very clear explanation! You motivated me to do more cbs. Greetings from Germany, Leo.

I bought an Onnit 10lb mace some years ago. And it's been one of the best training equipments I've bought. Have put it through everything I can throw at it. Still holds up and still going strong Love it. Great commentary and review,. 🤘

for the life of me I cannot figure out what he's doing in 3:18 that is different from 3:40. I can see variation in chest rotation and shoulder collapsing but hip position and heel pressure? I feel/see nothing...
The difference is one hinges at the hip and the other bends in the low back.
Thoughts on new Rogue loadable mace?
Im really impressed by the look of it, and just ordered it to make a review on it in the future.
I've owned a shoulderök for about 2 years now. Use it (almost) daily to warm up to my heavier dedicated maces and as a warm up before benching. It's great for these purposes. I do find that I have to tighten the nut in between sets. I do 10 360s on each side, then tighten. Never had any plates fall, but the noise of the steel on steel clanging getting louder throughout can be alarming at first. I never put anything bigger than a 10lb plate on it, because of the clearance issues shown above. Can easily get 3 5 pound plates on it, or two tens. Any more than that and it feels like there isn't enough for the nut to grab onto. I haven't tried it yet, but some plumbers tape would probably help out immensely. Been curious about the Kensui adjustamace...feels like a better (and cheaper) version of the shoulderök.
