Canada
Registrace 6. 09. 2022
Hello, and welcome to our channel!
Now, a little about us. We are Brandon (Canadian) and Anja (German)- an International traveling couple.
Despite being new to this CZcams thing, we have actually been traveling on and off for the past 7 years! We have lived in 8 countries together, and have recently reached the 49th of our 50 country goal together.
During this time, we've been asked, "why don't you guys start a CZcams or travel blog?", several times by friends and family. We finally looked at each other and said, "why not?!".
If you share a love of food, culture and adventure, we would absolutely love you to subscribe and join us on this journey.

Tip for the Ledena Bananica, it tastes better if you put in a fridge for a little bit. I don't like it if the mint is not cold a little bit.😊
plazma and milk, doesn't get better than that
I love lExeter often down there to see family i am.from Newcastle
We enjoyed it as well! Haven't been to Newcastle yet. Some day, for sure.
Charming portrait of a city! Not overloaded with so called knowledge.
All strict center, locals rarely go to this palces......but for the first time, it's not bad. Greetings from Belgrade.
We walked everywhere during this trip, so we stuck mostly to the center this time around. We only really had time for main attractions this time. If we come back, we will have to venture out further. Thanks for watching!
There's only two places for pie and mash , Mansies and cooks
My mums sausage rolls was fantastic
We'd love to try some homemade sausage rolls someday! Best we can get is a proper bakery at this point. The ones at Ginger Pig were so good that it's hard to imagine them being better. Delicious.
Ledena bananica je bolja kad se malo stavi u frižider da se ohladi probaj te.
Not sure if we could ever like the texture, but we'll give it a try next time. Chocolate from the fridge is always better anyway 😊

cockta older then slovenia what you talking about?
And? It was created where current day Slovenia is. Yugoslavia no longer exists. There are countries and territories all over the world that have changed names over time. Are you saying if a product is from a certain time period, you will call it by the name of a place that no longer exists? 🤨 Their own website says it is from Slovenia, as does every other online source.
@@wherearewe-yt aint reaind allat plus cockta serbian
kokta It is not a popular drink in Serbia kokakola, pepsi
Maybe it's not the most popular, but it must be somewhat popular because we've had a bunch of comments from people saying they love it. 🤔
Hű, milyen élmény lenne, ha nem a város legrosszabb éttermébe mentek...
It was definitely not the worst. Everything was delicious, actually. 😋
There’s lots of other chewits flavours like black current, fruit salad, cola, ice cream, blue raspberry and there’s chewits xtreme in sour apple or sour cherry they’re so good
Just found that out the other day! Brought some home for my family to try, and looked it up. Some how didn't see a single other flavor besides strawberry the entire time we were in the UK. Going to make it my goal the next time to find some others!
Zanimljivo kako stranci onako senzualno jedu slatkiše 😄 Ja kad navalim, jedva pakovanje ostane.Btw nice video folks.

@@wherearewe-yt ✌🏻😌
Greggs is shite, sausage rolls horrid, steak bake horrid etc junk food at its best
I mean, it's fast food, so yeah.. of course it's junk food. That's kind of the point. I don't think people are headed to Gregg's for their health. 🤓
In my opinion the best food is in the small outlying cities. And yes, if it grows, Serbs will find a way to turn it into whiskey i.e.: plum, cherry, peach, apple, pear, queens etc. Their soups and meat are out of this world also. If you get a chance put kajmak (butter) on their cornbread (proja). My wife was born there, and we make regular trips.
We would have loved to see some more smaller cities, but without a car, it's a bit difficult. We've had quite a few recommendations for places to visit for food. Especially in the south! We love cornbread, so that sounds delicious.
I do have to say, cevapi are a national dish of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although they are well known and eaten across the entire Balkan peninsula, they are a Bosnian dish :) branded and placed on a list of Bosnian national heritage :)
We've had them in Bosnia as well, and they were equally delicious. That was well before the CZcams days though! We couldn't have a Serbia video without featuring them, given how popular of a food it is, regardless of it's original origin. It's still a must try, anywhere in the Balkans!
Its so funny watching foreigners try to pronounce Serbian words! 😂
It's certainly not easy for us. 😂
Orthodox Christmas is in January. :)
I'd love to send you a box of UK stuff if you ever want to do a candy/food swap! I adore Tunnocks products, a very old fashioned British brand :) you guys are so great to watch! Was very happy to see people trying Marmite and actually buttering the toast first, though I love my Marmite super salty so I'd have it even thicker than you had it. There's so many Marmite products here, like Marmite cheese, hummus, peanut butter, crackers, ricecakes, nuts! AND I was so so excited to see the mince pies/christmas pudding, as I am a huge fan of both (unlike all my family and friends)! I have my pies plain and cold, but always heat the pudding. If you get a fancy pudding, it should have nuts in it!
We have a second UK snack video that we released a week ago, so you should also check that out! And funny you mentioned it..we ALSO have a Marmite snack video coming out a few weeks from now, where we tried a bunch of different types of Marmite spreads and snacks. We grew to love it after this first snack video, and now we can't get enough of it. Hahaha. Thanks so much for watching! We have SEVEN more UK videos coming, so subscribe and stay tuned.
"Some of the best food england have to offer" and "greggs" do not belong in the same sentance.
It's was clearly a joke. 😜
Typical foreigner, tea should taste like tea.
It does taste like tea. 😂
Original bananica is a lot better
A lot of people say that, so we will try if we go back. 😃
Why would someone take that stupid "ledena bananica" next to original just "bananica". Just get original basic flavor for first time. Same thing for Munchmello- this caramel flavor is something new and for much people it is too sweet. It would be better if you get basic flavor or strawberry (my personal favourit). Best regards!
We will have to try some of the originals next time! You're right about the caramel though. Haha. A lot of people recommended the strawberry version. 🍓
For crisps I'd recommend Walkers Max, all crinkle cut. There's papika, jalapeño and cheese and a few others. Give Fruit Pastilles a try. Recently I've started buying Cadbury cake bars, really like the crunchy and fudge ones. Branston did a sweet chilli pickle which I loved but sadly its been discontinued, was really good in a sandwich with salami or chorizo.
We tried Fruit Pastilles in the first UK snack video we did. Check it out! I remember seeing the Walkers Max, but I don't think we've ever tried them. We'll have to next time. That sweet chili pickle sounds amazing. Don't know that we will be making another snack video anytime soon (we still have a Marmite one coming, where we try all Marmite snacks and products) but we'd love to try some of the Branston chutneys next time we're in the UK.
👍👍
hungarians eat the salad whit the dish
So do we, but it's always easier to film each item one after the other, since we're trying to show names and prices as well.
A kolbászhoz és a hurkához nem ártott volna egy kis kenyér! :)
We had so much other food to eat that day, that we had to skip on the bread! Normally we always eat with bread. 😃
Think the evaporated milk was a common northern thing up to the time when we got fridges....still good though🫖😸👍
Anja loves evaporated milk and condensed milk..but she especially loves cream. I'm sure she'd also fill half her tea cup with cream if she could. 😂
The pink mayo is 'Marie Rose' sauce (ketchup, mayo, double cream optional, wuster sauce and a squeeze of lemon juice) thats commonly served with prawns as our version of Prawn Cocktail. That's what the crisps get their flavour from
Definitely different than the cocktail sauce in Canada!
Try Harry Ramsdens chips, taste like homemade chips.
We've never been! They look good in photos though. We'll have to check them out.
What is it with Americans and cutlery? They always hold their fork in their *right* hand......
What is it with the UKs obsession over how other people hold cutlery? And what is it with them not being able to identify accents? One of us is Canadian, and the other is German. 😃
Marzipan is pretty common in the UK. Try piccalilli with a good quality pork pie
What are some other cakes or sweets with marzipan in the UK? We love a pork pie! That sounds good. 👌
Tyrell’s are good, personally for me Pipers have overtaken them in the Premium crisp wars. Jammy Dodgers and Battenberg are utter bullshit. Wotsits are terrible when comapred to Herrs or Cheetos. I have spent a small fortune on dodgy websites buying Hawkins Cheezies, they are the elite cheese snack.
I don't think we've tried Pipers before. We'll have to check them out! Jammy Dodgers are decent, but I don't like the Battenberg at all. Anja loved them. And you're right, Cheezies rule. 🧀
Sunday roast did not start in Yorkshire. Yorkshire pudding only started there.
Where in the UK was it invented then? Yorkshire is what it says on Wikipedia - not that Wikipedia is totally reliable. 😂
100% wrong on the bacon it's just a different part of the pig then what the USA or Canada would use
It's all delicious. 🐷
Thank you for your visit to Maribor and Ptuj for your positive comments, both of you, much respect😉😊🤗
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed.
When eating Jelly Babies, it is essential to bite off the head first!
Hahaha. Any gummy with a head! Sour Patch Kids, Gummy Bears..off with their heads! ☠️😂
You should try DISCOs Cheese & Onion and Square Crisps Cheese & Onion 😛
I don't know that we've ever tried that brand. We'll have to try next time we're in the UK!
Treacle Pudding is well worth a try. But as you say Mums (or Grannys) homemade puddings can't be beat 😂
It looks good from the photos. Looks a bit like sticky toffee pudding, which is our favorite!
When i lived in Germany, i used to love Chocolate Covered Marzipan!
I (Anja) love Marzipan, too! The stuff they sell during Christmas in Germany is very good. I do know a lot of people in Germany who don't like it either, though. It's a love it or hate it kinda thing. Spain and Hungary has very good Marzipan, too.
I legit cant stand jelly babies 💀🤮
We pretty much love all Maynard's - but Jelly Babies are just alright. Would definitely choose em' over All Sorts or any type of Liquorice though! 🤣
I'm not a fan of battenburg 😂
Someone else said in the comments that the UK loves marzipan. Hahaha. I'm with you though. Anja can keep it. 😂
@@wherearewe-yt i think it's more popular with older people they grew up on it haha not for me lol great video 💜
@@Keiron-pw6sl Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching. 😃

Anja is right about the cocktail sauce here in the uk its a mayonnaise base sauce and tomato sauce with a little Worcestershire sauce. In canada you guys have the same cocktail sauce as in the US its like a red sauce and it confuses us here in england lol. Also they arent meant to taste just like prawn its meant to taste like the actual dish "prawn cocktail" which is prawns in our cocktail sauce x
Yeah, the one in Canada seems quite different! Ours has a lot of horseradish in it as well, so it's got a kick to it. Interesting! We definitely didn't taste any strong prawn flavour, but I can see how it would taste like the sauce itself. Gonna have to try it next time we're in the UK for comparison!
That biscuit tea is superb best lovely
I actually found a knock off one at Aldi which is salted caramel biscuit tea which is even better, I think. The Yorkshire Jam and Toast one is my favourite, though. You should try it, if you haven't had it 😊
An Englishman, watching from Lithuania and missing some of these things 🤤
In our last UK Snack video, we ordered our snacks from a place called "British Corner Shop" and were able to get a decent amount of things. The pricing wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible! Not bad if there are a few things you've been missing.
@@wherearewe-ytThanks
Aunty’s Spotted Dick is awful. I tried it once, and I wouldn’t have known it was supposed to be spotted dick without it being written on the box. If you’ve eaten a real one, you’ll know what I mean. Alannah (Canadian living in Uk) on the Adventures and Naps channel made a real one, and did a pretty good job.
The English breakfast is normally a treat on a Saturday or Sunday morning it's definitely not an everyday food as you said you wouldn't get any work done as you'd be so full 😋
Makes sense! We shared one between us, and it was already quite filling. Delicious tough!
