Welcome to my CZcams channel...Smugwood. I'm often asked how I made a particular project and it can be difficult to sometimes explain with words alone. It was suggested that I should make videos of how I make some of the projects...so here they are.
Videos will be added regularly and if you like what you see, then why not 'subscribe' to keep up to date with my latest projects. I try my best to make the videos enjoyable to watch and as I like to try and do pretty much everything myself, I even go the extra mile and compose all of the background music too!
I'm always looking for new projects and new challenges so if there's something you might like to see made, why not send me your suggestion and I'll see what I can do.
If you happen to be inspired by any of the videos and decide to make similar items yourself, please don't take for granted that everything I do is the correct way to do things, and remember...safety is no accident!

Vectric V Carve & Aspire CNC - Making My Cloakroom Cupboard Door It's been a while since I last posted a video...life gets in the way sometimes, but this was a nice little project to get me back into the swing of things. I recently built a downstairs cloakroom and needed a pair of doors for the water heater cupboard. It was the perfect excuse to load up Vectric and get back on the CNC :-) Speci...

Woodworking - Making A Wooden Peg Having been tasked with making a wooden peg for a car fitted with a manual choke, I wasn't happy with the quality of the shop bought pegs...so I decided to make my own from some hardwood maple. Vectric V Carve & Aspire CNC Tutorial - Making Keyrings (How I Paid For My CNC) In this video I demonstrate the methods I used to make the keyrings I sold online and at craft fairs. Can You REALLY Remove Dents From Wood With An Iron A question I often see on the Woodworking Facebook groups is how do you remove dents from wood. I hope you have figured out a safer way to do this.
I would have used scrap wood first
Is is possible to add pigment to the Milliput to create different colours?
Nice result
It probably wont last as long as the hardwood did, but it's nice to be able to use it again. Maybe a coat of paint every year might prolong things :-) Does look a lot better though.
Does it work for waxed wood or varnished wood?
Making a butter fly
Cut the arritating music.
Neck turned out nice. Not sure why you weren't using paddles for safety.
I have made several such necks using a straight up 1" round over bit. BIG ol' boat necks but they feel SO GOOD. They are so beefy that I have made several with NO truss-rod like the very first original Fender necks. 5 years and they still hold up with no warp whatsoever. Best playing and sound necks I have ever played. You do need to learn to shape the transition from neck to heal and head to get that smooth V transition. But other than that, looks pretty good.
Thank you for this Lee, it's exactly what I was looking for. Id honestly never think of it myself.
Brapa bos harga 1 set
nice video! well done!
great video. what is the smallest diameter circle you could cut with this jig?
Great work. It looks well. How do you get the cnc to engrave the edge? How do you position the chopping board?
My CNC has a modified gantry and overhangs the end of the bed. But if it didnt, and I had to make this again, id just engrave a piece before glue up.
Clarke is made by Ingersoll. I have the AC 2002 oiled 4 gallon air compressor myself and it is a very well made unit that is capable of 5 cfm at 90 PSI. Weighs about 100 pounds though and it heavy as heck. Barely portable but is a nice unit that is very capable with any shop air tool.
For my saw for some reason the discs are not aligned and I cannot unscrew the bolt when I am trying to assemble the blade, pls respond🙏
Good video 👏
Thanks :-)
I need the noex mod. Any help?
That was cool. Thanks for sharing.
No probs :-)
Thank you.
your music is very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 6 inch round base SKIL so what a 6 inc + hole, uh template + the diameter First make a of the A six inch hole you get the diameter of the tool A seven inchole you get a hole one inch + the D of the tool. Close but you can route the template hole. I wanted too make holes in composite SUP 2.0" ID and 1.5" ID for built in equipment attachment points
You can not retire. No immigrants allowed , well no worry inflation you will pay, and pay, we be gone.
Signed off from ANY employment yet you are working. You mean, signed off from working for or with others. I'm the same, I can't be around people so doing woodwork and having a Channel helps me. Stay safe, be happy
thought this was no hole jig - untrue and made worse by awful soundtrack
Didn't quite get the name of the pins?
Shelf pins
This must be the simplest circle jig to make and the easiest to use I have ever seen. 10/10. Gold star on teachers class chart.
Never seen this before but i do use water extremely often to help soften wood so its easy to plain with my block plain or board plain little trick i learned from a close friend of mine and coworker Helps a ton and saves your time and energy
Hi thank you for making this video it was a great help the sanding belts fly of even when l put the tighten level down Thank you Regards Steve U.K. London
I just finished building the handrail on my deck czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!
Often thought using the bulkhead as a walk through and mounting cupboards on it .
Man so simple and easy to use, thanks for the video, this is just what I need thanks
Whats the internal/external diameter of the Sanders outlet for vacuum attachment. Or better yet got a link for your attachment for vaccum to sander?
Way to iron out the details…
Nice series. 👏
very niiiice ty
I want one of these in my front room 😢
Northern knowhow. Thanks for the video
Useful video. But please provide the three sizes which can be filed ie the smallest hole you could plunge into. Do i guess 10mm x 17mm x 50mm
If you still want to have all your fingers in a reasonable time, stop woodworking immediately. You are not at all qualified to work on a machine.
Limmy did it better
I made one but my blade keeps stopping and i cant turn i have to back it out. Do you know why this maybe happening
No holes??????
I finally found these videos and this channel again
Thank-you!
Thank you making this video. Ever since I got back in to wargaming I'd been hearing about Milliput in conversation work. But I'm far more familiar with Green Stuff and wasn't sure which one to get. This has helped alot.
They put a square save from the left on the wooden peg, whats wrong with you people you make me sick
looks a great idea but you conveniently left out your lighting set up - I'd argue it's nearly impossible to get such sharp shadows as you show. Plus you could of given credit to the original source of the idea
Cant believe so many rude people commenting on your self made music which obviously you are very proud about...
