On 1st of April of 2023 we lost my granddaughters father to Fentanyl poisoning, he went to sleep and never woke up again…
FENTANYL comes from China and Mexico...it's Terrorism, I'm so sorry for your loss, you are a sweet person and should not have to go through this, so many families are losing loved ones because of this drug
BS for one once you burn fentanyl it destroys it and what financial gain do you have to leasing weed that’s stupid
What happened with the friend from the beginning whowent home? Did it turn out that she was involved?
Is it in the Canadian governments weed? That would really connect some dots
I watched this episode twice to honour both Sean & Ian O’Connor’s battle against addiction & a life of “normality”. Rosie you are one of the best big Sister’s ever. So sad that people place addiction as “it doesn’t happen in my family, this happens to others”. People need to wake up life is not roses, rainbows & unicorns, there are functioning addicts right across society & ea., have a personal story. The opioid epidemic set off by Purdue Pharma with “OxyContin” & the subsequent fall out has caused many people who need prescribed medicine to turn elsewhere as “the ivory tower dwellers” said to Dr.’s “Oh no, you can’t prescribe X,Y,Z, Meds unless the patient is terminal” (in the US or part of the US from my understanding). That’s one can of worms on its own. Now cartels allegedly are lacing other meds such as illegal zanax, heroin, MJ often laced with Fentanyl etc., it’s hard when one is addicted to whatever trying to stay on the straight & narrow. I’ve never understood the term “recreational drugs” or this is my “relaxation” or this is my mdma “upper” to dance all night. Addiction has many shades of gray, years ago people did try drugs for reasons only known to themselves & friends & hopefully they woke up with a headache. Nowadays there’s so much laced product it’s extremely dicey, the addiction is gnawing @ an addict’s brain for that fix & they take a chance (for whatever reason) often with bad consequences. I truly hope the family is healing, losing 2 brothers so close together must be extraordinarily difficult. I pray that by the family telling the stories of these two average everyday lads, helps others & their families keep an eye of those who may be prone to going head first down a slide into one way oblivion. 1 loss is too many these people are being poisoned, surely it’s time the US Govt DEA etc., started data matching, cross referencing across the country to “nail down” the source or sources. If 200 people per day were being killed on the road through MVA’s their would be a national outcry‼️ Pease keep telling these sad, but necessary stories to alert the community in general @Texas Pictures. As we all know “there for the grace of God or whomever you believe in it could be you or a loved one” on this awful road. Take care. Ty for the family members speaking their stories & for the compassion shown by ea. documentary put forth. 🙏🏻🦘🐨🇦🇺
Best to grow ones own organic cannabis at home to use recreationally. At least you know what's going onto it. A lot of people also put toxic pesticides on plants.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your brothers 😢😢😢
So heartbreaking, I can relate with so many things w/this documentary but the best thing that I got out of it was the urgency to talk to my son about the dangers of drugs
These sort of stories eat away a piece of my soul.. My First Born Daughter was abused by a 10 year old girl, when she was 5 and from there she was abused by my second born daughter’s Grandfather. My heart has been broken since my daughter told me what happened to her. She held this a secret from me until she turned 20 years old.
So sorry for you .😢 Fentanyl is Evil 😈 not sure how these.people make these pills knowing they are laced with fenta nyl. Not sure how this is ever going to stop. Its a sad world we live in.
Ok but what happened to him he just wasn’t breathing on the inflated mattress in his bad associate house? …..🤔🫣😳
Doctors don't understand the harm they do when they just stop a prescription without first having a consultation to discuss slow reduction . It's the same in the UK with a lot of doctors, they have the power to reduce the patient slowly but they just point blank stop it and throw people into withdrawal.
Ugh 😢 this poor family. I hate drugs. I hate alcohol. So many lives and families ruined because of these things.
So sad, so sad. God bless you, mother.
Nobody wants to be like that. That is the essence of addiction. People forget that and blame the fallen.
I'm going to type this on every video I see like this. If you are afraid to quit or don't know how, all OPHELIA. It is covered by insurance, and they also take cash. It done is all over the phone and you get suboxone to kill the cravings so you can quit.
I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you and your family. We were in the same place just a year ago, May 30, 2023. My brother was an alcoholic- a functioning one who was a very successful, self-made business man, and very charismatic. B until he had a dark side that we had no clue about. I knew he smoked weed, and I suspected he may have dabbled with other substances. He was found dead in his car, in his driveway. Coroners report showed a blood alcohol of 0.15, but no alcohol in his stomach, meaning he had to be pretty lit before he went out, and quit drinking at some point. It also showed pure Fentanyl in his system no other substances. Apparently he obtained a fentanyl patch used for pain control, that is a time-released delivery over 3 days when applied to the skin, but addicts will open the part with the liquid and suck it out. We have no idea what dosage he might have ingested, but the coroner said he probably was gone within a few short minutes. Our hearts are broken, and remain so. There are so many “why,s” that we’ll never have answers to. It was not ruled a suicide-he definitely was not suicidal, of this we were sure. And the worst part? He left behind a 2 year old and a 4 year old, who will never have memories of the wonderful man and daddy he was. He was going through a very contentious divorce at the time, and it would have been final the next day. His “wife” has cut our family off from all manner of social media, changed her phone number, and moved. We’ve been unable to locate them, or see the kids since the day of the funeral. We remain so sad, especially since my entire family, including another brother, are gone. All that’s left of our family is my sister and me.
Ugh I’m so sorry. I hate when mothers do this. They make everything about themselves, not the kids! I would want my kids to know their dad’s side and know they had a dad and aunt’s who love them. She seems selfish. She knows your brother’s kids could help you and your sister heal as well and don’t care. I guess she was never taught-to treat others the way you want to be treated!
The greatest sadness is all the loss of possibilities. Cant dip back into the past. And the present is empty. Its a lot to compartmentalize.
AHHHH THATS MY MAMA!!!! GOD IS GOOD! 💖💖 Im so proud that God allowed me to be her daughter! LOVE YOU MAMA!✨✨💖💖💖
These videos are so incredibly sad! Prescription mills were handing out extremely oxy medications to people with minor to moderate pain issues like it was candy for years and years, with doctors getting wealthy on kickbacks from certain American companies in big pharma by knowingly creating addicts. That's how the opioid epidemic got started. In Europe we don't have an epidemic like this because that was (and is) illegal, and all addictive prescriptions are registered in a central register to keep an eye on the doctors. The US is the main market for so many foreign and domestic producers of fentanyl and methamphetamine now because of the complete lack of regulations and oversight in the past, and it makes me so sad. The American people don't deserve this everlasting heartache! 💔

What a beautiful woman
I am so very sorry for the loss of your 2 precious brothers. My condolences to your family... Please know I will be praying for you all during this tme of mourning... 🙏🕊️💙 🇺🇸 There is not a family in America that has not been touched by drug/alcohol addiction, depression. 💔 😢
Prayers for the family🙏
It saddens me to hear or see how some ppl treat addicts. No addict wants to be an addict! Who does! Never give up, hope.
So sorry for this loss. 😢 My hope for this tragedy is that while he is in prison he would truly repent and accept the gospel. There are active prison ministries across the US. Because if not, then he will have to pay an eternity for all his sins, including this one.
This is good stuff, but the OD guy lying there not breathing for minutes on end is pretty anxiety-inducing 😂
Kinda should induce a bit of anxiety, shouldn't it? It might deliver a great, unspoken message about the importance about having that kind of conversation before it is urgent.
You can thank open borders in the druglords for all the fentanyl coming into our country. Joe Biden’s policies is killing Americans. So very sorry for your loss. This was a very moving video.😢
The real issue is the demand. This opioid crisis began, according to the Harvard School of Public Health, in the mid-1990s. According to the CDC, the increasing presence of fentanyl in illicit drugs began in 2013. The US Dept of Health and Human Services declared the opioid crisis a "public health emergency" in 2017. The crisis spans five administrations and includes both parties.
4:03 Of course you didn’t know the whole of everything. Sounds like you were busy raising 3 children of your own so please don’t feel any kind of quilt or put responsibility on yourself for your adult brothers. You were doing the right thing focusing on your children. 🥰 I feel your sadness however.
Loss is loss. Period. Cause should be irrelevant when it comes to this pain. I’m so sorry for your loss. It also seems that their being just out of treatment, could have contributed to their reactions. ❤❤❤❤
I’m so sorry for your loss
This is absolutely heartbreaking. Blain's dad is right- I haven't seen a single public service announcement or billboard about fentanyl/carfentanil. I think many people are aware that it's in heroin and other "street drugs". However I don't think it's public knowledge that there are fake Percocet, Xanax and hydrocodone pills circulating that appear to be pharmaceutical grade and are laced with or consist solely of fentanyl/carfentanil. There needs to be a government campaign of TV commercials and billboards that 'one pill can kill'. I can't imagine how difficult it is for these families to speak up, but thank goodness they're trying to get the word out.
God Bless You! You are amazing, I so glad you have found God to help you through this.
Maybe if tgeyd stop cutting funding for school, we could educate. Awareness is neccessary. Sorry for your loss, confide in the thought that she doesnt have to endure this cruel world. ❤❤
My heart break fo ryou. Thank you so much for helping others. I just want to hug you. So wrong what your parent did
Dylan was soooo handsome wow what a loss 🥺
His sister's words are so powerful. Her words took my breath away. The emotion came thru her voice. She made me feel those words to my core. Wow.
So sad. He just seem like a person that lit up a room with his presence. Not too many people have that in them. Sorry for all his loved ones' loss.
Rose I’m so, so sorry for your loss and the pain you and your family are going through 😢 I lost 2 brothers to suicide, they were both alcoholics, strangely found with none in their systems at death. I’ve been sober 31 years yesterday, so I understand the battle of addiction well. I pray that time goes by your pain will ease 🥰🙏🏼
My deepest condolences for Cadens family. All states need to have the same laws. The border if Mexico needs to be stronger because its all coming from Mexico. Cadens mom just loved him so much you can see it in her soul. And her grandmother too.
Awww that voice-mail from her son broke my heart for her...u can hear how bad he wants to get better and how hard he tried to fight to live u can hear how scared and hurt he is in the voice-mail...so sad, u just never know what someone is going through look at that handsome young man such a beautiful smile with so much life to live...my heart goes out to this young man's family....I'm a former addict I have been clean since 2014 I'm writing this in 2024 and every single day is a fight so I truly understand rest in heaven to this young man

😢
I’m so sorry this happened to you & your family. Big hugs.
So much pain…I’m so very sorry darling.
I learned recently that its VERY IMPORTANT to describe a Fentanyl death as FENTANYL POISONING. Because its a poisoning not an overdose. This is vital for several reasons. One, it removes the stigma this woman described at the end, which is quite important for family and friends. Two, it's a FACTUAL way of describing these deaths and facts are important, especially in an uncontrolled, rampant epidemic like this one. Third, just using the correct terminology can steer people away from exposing themselves. These people aren't "using too much" of a drug and, as such, dying. They are using something that they believe does NOT result in death. Often, Fentanyl is even in cannabis now! Or hidden in what a teenager might think of as a "fun" drug like a opioid to take at a part! Never dreaming they can die. PLEASE start identifying these as FENTANYL POISONINGS. My heartfelt condolences to this family and all the families being shattered by this POISONING ATTACK on our country. 🙏🌷😣
We lost my little brother on January 23 2023 unexpectedly from a Fentanyl overdose. My world was shattered when I got that phone call and I’ll never forget it. My brother was one of my best friends and also my closest sibling. He was a high functioning autistic but you wouldn’t have known unless you knew ya know..he was so incredibly sweet and had the heart of a lion he wore it on his sleeve and would always give anything he had to someone in need. He was an amazing artist and saw everything in such incredible detail. My brother was one to always see the good in everything and everyone else and sometimes this was just wasn’t enough to keep the wolves away. He fell into bad company trying to make new friends and he was so easily swayed by peer pressure to feel like he fit in and wound up on a long road of struggling with addiction. I remember him telling me he felt like he was invincible and that we shouldn’t worry about him. One night after a another month clean(which he would do several times a year) he relapsed and my Dad found him the next morning in his gaming chair. He had already been gone for almost 8 hours so he knew narcaan would not be able to save his life this time. Forever 24 and forever in our hearts R.I.P Zachary Nathan Jossy❤4.24.1998-01.23.2023
I’m so very sorry. You’re making people aware and that is how you carry on. My heart hurts for you so very sorry
So many lives, especially young lives, gone. So sorry for your loss.
This was too much!
