I found out today that I am a direct decendant by father. I was able to trace father by father back to around 350. I knew my 6th great grandfather was named Richard Phillips but was only recently able to find marriage documents where it mentioned his father's name which was also Richard. He had been added to a family tree on a website called roots where I was able to trace him back by clicking the name under "son of". He was a traced back to the Welsh Sir Thomas Phillips who was the esquire for Henry vii. Traced back further it led me to "Cydifor Fawr ap Collwyn, Lord of Blaen Cuch" and further who all seemed to be born in the same welsh castle. Very cool to have finally been able to trace my roots to before 1829 lol

Congratulations for this very interesting video! You could also have included Sixto as one of the actual claimants, the uncle of Carlos Javier. As for how would have the carlist monarchy endured, I think that despite all, there would have been some kind of liberal uprising agaisnt the monarchy, just like General Riego during the reign of Ferdinand VII. Also you must have in mind that carlism is not only rooted in the dinastic dispute, but also with a completely different understanding of Spain and the monarchy. I recomend you a book called Carlism and Crisis in Spain 1931-1939 by Martin Blinkhorn, who traces the roots of carlism back to the Spanish Succession War of 1700, understanding Carlism as an oposition movement against Enlightment, centralism, rationalism and liberalism brought by some of the Bourbons, and also taking in mind that Isabel II had the support of moderate liberals while Carlos Maria Isidro wanted an absolute or traditional monarchy.

Ngl, you didn't really address any of the real issues or topics pertinent to the Carlists. There's so many changes that would take place with the Carlists ruling Spain on a societal, cultural, economic, and political level.
