CORRECTIONS:
- Sorry about the missed edits here, particularly on Florida and Nebraska
- Also accidently said worst "Governor" for Arizona
- Indiana: Buchanan did have a VP (John Breckinridge), but Franklin Pierce didn't

There is only one video about this on the internet, and you made it. Thankfully, you did a terrific job, and I'm not just saying that since I'm in it. :)
Yess mr beat
When I read the title, I was very surprised this wasn't one of your videoes.
I don’t get why you dislike Bilbo when he was pro farmers and labor like La Follette
@@ImperiumMagistrate To quote a certain Atun-Shei, "That doesn't change the fact that he was still a FILTHY RACIST". Put lipstick on a pig, still a pig.
Thank you for including me
I feel like one thing we should do when we’re trying to rank senators is put away our own biases and just look at their entire impact as a whole and did it negatively affect the state or does it possibly affect the state, I think that’s the best way to rank senators.
That's a rather worn out joke for Wyoming.
Why am I not surprised my state's worst senator supported Japanese internment..?
I expected you to put strong Thurman for South Carolina.
Thurmond was pretty bad, but I had a specific request to have Calhoun instead of him by another channel.
South Carolina has so many crappy senators its hard to pick. Mine would have been Thurmond, but you could go with Tillman, Calhoun, or the ones who became confederates.
Absolutely called it for McCarran. He is (somehow) still popular in NV today, people lost their damn minds when they renamed the Vegas airport after him
That was my suggestion! Sadly I didn't have time to pitch in my own segment, but I'm sure my channel will eventually get to him if I can make it to the postwar era without burning out completely.
McCarren was based. Also he did not approve of fascism. That is completely untrue. He denounced Hitler but thought communism was a bigger threat than fascism
Very cool video! 👍👍👍
Great work!
How about the Best Senators From Every State and the Best Governors From Each State?
39:13 Near the end of the year that this video was uploaded, McCarran International Airport has been renamed; it's now Harry Reid International Airport.
Are you going to do a best senators from each state and that would be very interesting, because if you do Hiram Johnson better picked as the best senator from California.
It is on my radar. May I inquire why Hiram Johnson was California’s best?
@@JakeTheGenealogist while he was in the Senate he expanded education, he was a Stones advocate for women’s rights and civil rights you know other than the whole thing when he was governor, continuing the Chinese exclusion act in California but beyond that he was a huge proponent of civil rights, and he got all kinds of progressive reforms passed progressive in the 1900s sense, and he was just all charismatic guy who got stuff done, auntiewasn’t afraid to go against his own party he went against his own party and seven values multiple times.
@@JakeTheGenealogist If you do a best senators from each state list a senator you have to include as the best senator Wisconsin history is Bob Lafollett, it’s not even close.
44:15 - That is interesting considering the NEA, Civil Rights Acts and Voting Rights Act were in the 1960s and Helms was in office from 1973 onwards
Ayyy my boi jake is back
42:38 Or should I say, "the damn fool that shot him (Hamilton)"
Byrd so old, he knew Jefferson Davis when he was young
I really liked the video. Although I would say that Ted Stevens was the worst senator from Alaska. I actually thought about making one of these, but for members of the House of Representatives from the 20th century. I always love to find another good history channel to follow.
Thanks for the comment! I will say that I found several sources saying that Murkowski was the most hated senator in Alaskan history, compared to Stevens who is pretty beloved, despite some scandals.
I would say that Chauncey Depew
was New York's worst senator. He got the position since he was the personal lawyer of Cornelius Vanderbilt. I agree with basically every other senator you picked.
@@JakeTheGenealogist no I disagree Murkowski was OK I don’t think there’s really been outright terrible senators for Alaska,Yeahd have some scandals but overall he did do some solid things.
Can you do the worst representatives from each state
We’ll see, we’ll see…
With the U.S.A
Good video but including Frank Murkowski it’s obviously a political bias he wasn’t that bad.Lisa murkowski it’s awful Way worse than her father.
This video does show my political bias, and that’s essentially the point. Additionally, I don’t want to create a recency bias by picking current Senators. Thanks for the feedback though
@@JakeTheGenealogist and thank you for acknowledging your bias because we all have biases and what I don’t like is when people are biased and they pretend like they’re not but you acknowledge that you do a biases could you do a best addition of the governors and senators.
@@JakeTheGenealogist So I guess the idea of recency bias is why you didn't put Moscow Mitch in for Kentucky? For all his notoriety, the actual damage Breckinridge did in his role as a senator is fairly limited, given he didn't even hold that office for any significant period.
@@ohauss He did have a short term, however Breckinridge was a traitor to the Union. He abandoned his senate seat in Kentucky to side with the Confederacy.
What an cool video. !!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🥰🥰🥰🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Wawaweewa
