Bali’s Breaking Point: One boy’s war on ocean plastic 2024 (Documentary)
Joseph Wijaya is an environmentalist, Bali native and plastic hero. And, he’s only 11 years old.
As the founder of Joseph Recycling, he’s on a mission to clean up Bali one plastic bottle at a time.
Since founding his project in 2022, he’s helped to prevent mountains of trash from entering Bali’s beautiful oceans.
However, his mission is far from over. With big dreams and even bigger determination, Joseph wants to transform the island - and Indonesia.
With the support of his parents, Joseph collects and recycles plastic around Bali, and works with recycling companies in Java to make sure the plastic doesn’t end up in landfill.
Joseph also turns this plastic into education.
Any money he earns from his project is then put into paying for Indonesian kids to go to school in Bali.

thanks for the great documentary, I spent a couple of days in Puerto Escondido and was shocked about the amount of garbage lying around and swimming was sometimes disgusting with all the trash in the ocean. It is heartbreaking because it is such a beautiful town and the pristine beaches are like a dream! I am planning to return in September and I will reach out to some of you to help out for a couple of weeks. Take care and thanks for all the hard work for sustainable development!❤

Privacy is a privilege of wealth. It's expensive to have a private room where you can hide. When the world was less affluent public nudity was common. If God didn't want us to be naked He would have made us with fur, like that dog on the beach.

Zipolite is a wonderful beach . Being naked and seeing others naked in a beach is the most liberal attitude, it's most comfortable healthful with incredible feelings purely divine blissful joyful glorious with mother nature exploration on a larger than life way ... Just came back from Guatemala.. I enjoyed chicken bus ride. These bus drivers have amazing driving skills in traffic. It was an experience

This buses are reliable, except from the usual maintenance "set of tires, oil and brake jobs" those Navistar Diesel engines made by International are very cheap to maintain and built to last way over a million miles

Where is the dump located? From main town is it going north towards Puerto Vallarta or south towards Huatulco? Is something being done now in 2023 to fix the issue or is nothing being done?
This dump is north of the town, on the outskirts of Chila (if I remember correctly). However, there’s also another one south/inland as well. As for anything being done, it’s best to connect with the NGOs and organisations around Puerto to get the latest updates ♥️
With the shit surf and asshole territorial locals hogging the surf spots there’s more issues than just pollution

You had me right up until you used the words climate change. Climate change which used to be called global warming before it was called some other invented word is a hoax. We all need to take care of the environment but we do not need to create fear in the entire world over the wrong enemies. There are enough resources in this world to support 10 times our population easily. Fear is not the way forward. Working together in hope and generosity and service is the only way forward.

I think everywhere in Indonesia has “wild dogs” it’s fairly common in that part of the world. A lot of them are quite tame and aren’t that wild. They just belong to the streets.
