MAXIMON The Drinking Smoking God | A Mysterious Guatemalan Journey (Documentary)

- Maximon, Guatemala's drinking, smoking deity, is revered in Mayan culture as a figure of ancient knowledge. Located in Santiago on the coast of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, this ancient figure serves the community and helps those in need.
Once a year, Maximon moves to a new house in a secretive ceremony. This year, we captured Maximon's journey all on camera. We interviewed several people in Santiago's Mayan community to find out more about Maximon's unique story.
Our latest documentary is shot on the Sony A7iv and DJI Mavic Air 2.
