2014 DFCW - Farewell Dinner - Jim's - Full Version
zhlédnutí 654Před 9 lety
An informal Dan Fam tradition, when Sheldon and Tim are in town, is to gather at Jim's Restaurant for dinner. Usually a sing-a-long at the piano bar before leaving for home, the next day, follows. (Although the sound is good, the video quality is choppy and marginal. This is a by product of the camera setting used to get an image in such a dark place).

OB pier at :58 ? I've never seen this video. Always cool to see vintage clips. At 1st glance it looked like they were standing on bluffs in La Jolla. Would anyone happen to know? I wonder who the surfers are..sf?
I was in 4th grade when this treasure piece of music was released. What memories listening to Waky 790 AM. Time really flies. Thank you for sharing this classic track. Those were the simpler days of growing up.
I saw the BlueBeats at the Misquamicut Beach .They played at the George .They are one of the most talented bands of the 60’s.They had great harmony and the lead guitar was great.Louie the drummer had a great voice .
They always advise big shot guitarist to learn to sing. Excellent advice
25 mins in and does an excellent instrumental fingerstyle song, boy could pick. Dan the man! Been a fan since the release of Souvenirs. Love the first two albums but dang Once Upon a Time 38:00 is not from either one of those and it's packed with emotion, that outshines everything else in this concert. At 1:20 on These Days he is playing some fine electric guitar, Full package musician.

I went to U of I in 1971. Dan played at a tiny little place The Red Herring. Solo acoustic guitar , piano.. just great shows every time . Saw him all the way through his career. Guys. GET YOUR PSA levels checked. He died way too young . ,
The late 60's and 70's were the epic pinnacle of what was ROCK & ROLL.
Crystal Gale covered this...but didn't know it was done before
My dad and I, singing along to this in the car. Summer 1970, driving to the beach. I was 6. 🙂

This song evoked adventure on the high seas for my friends and I, we just wanted to "laugh our lives away and be free once more" at 17 ot was our dream.
You know what I've always said about so-called "one hit wonder" bands? Listen to the rest of their stuff! You may be surprised that their other product is even better than their one hit!
This is a great song but the video stinks!
I can't find my mystery ship 😅 it's gotta be somewhere? But where 😮? Hmmm 😢,still can't fly like a dragonfly 😮upon your mystery ship !
This is fantastic - cannot remember this band being played on UK radio........what a loss!
