Ha, yes, there were loud screems by the ladies when the chairlift stopped in this video but I didn't capture the sound. I don't think there's a way back to Val D except going over the same chairlift.

@@ChasingSnow Yeah, all booked in and deposit paid. Getting the custom insoles at CF's S+R for my boots on Mon, and I'll also order my first skis, Rossi Ex 76 OR Rossi Ex 78c, both are designed by Rossi for beginners, so 50:50 or 🤷‍♂. As for the coming season, yeah 🤞.

@@ChasingSnow Yeah, correct colour run grading is a Europe wide problem, and even the main stream press have complained about it. BTW, next season during your travels, if you get round to Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun Maiskogel could you please ski down pieste No 14, the probably infamous Black Mamba, then I and other viewers will know what it is like?

Ha, you must have skiing in your soul if that is your frustration dream... It was certainly steep but the snow was good so manageable :-)

@@ChasingSnow Before I took up skiing my frustration dreams were about school, showing up in class, unprepared, not knowing what I was supposed to do. When I taught writing in college for a couple of horrible semesters, the dreams went to not knowing where my classroom was, what I was supposed to teach, trying to BS my way though the class until I could find out what I was supposed to be teaching, then I took up skiing.

@@barrylongyear1933 exactly, that's more where I'm at, sitting an exam that I'm not prepared for but knowing that I've already passed... I haven't got to the skiing yet, or maybe I just don't remember anymore...

If the snow is good then tackling steepness is easier...

It looked too steep from the top so I wanted to check it from another angle, at 08:48 it looked doable but I didn't get another chance as I wanted to complete the yellows, as you'll see in other videos...

@legots I ski the whole season. Sure, I'm privileged to be able to do that, but probably not in the way you think. I rough it and sleep in a small van, use a gym shower whenever I can, and have to find places with power and Internet so I can make and upload my videos. I see people working at resorts so they can ski on their days off, definitely not privileged in my eyes. European resorts are not as expensive as those in the US so maybe things are different...

@ChasingSnow your privileged to even live near them. Let alone have the opportunity to drop everything and ski like that. Most people would have to travel halfway across the world to different countries, and even then, who can just decide to live in a van and ski for a living? My guy, most people have a job and a family and bills and can't drop their life for skiing. Its the most privileged wealthy thing to do, like to even know how to ski I'm guessing you went with your family as kids? You had lessons and equipment and accommodation all paid for. I genuinely can't believe you don't think someone living and working at a ski resort and gets to ski on their days off is privileged 😂😂 people are our here struggling to even live bro, like genuinely get some perspective By all means, enjoy the life you live, but your original video saying that going skiing will solve all your problems and make you feel better is just so out of touch for what a normal person can do. I think I've only ever met 1 maybe 2 people in my life who have ever been skiing even once. We don't all live like you

Ok, for some people it's not so convenient, for others it is but not everyone is wealthy... I started quite late, in my mid twenties when I was invited by my previous employer, but I had to pay for it. My nearest resort is 1.5 hours away and costs about €20 for a day pass. Sometimes when I watch these videos, I come to the same conclusion, thinking that looked close, but the way image stabilisation works, the image is zoomed in so it looks closer than it really is. Thanks for the reminder about the etiquette videos... Now that I'm working on some short videos, I can start doing some of those...
