It could be just the resort gradient colours but, compared to other resorts, once you can comfortably ski, and have moved beyond lessons somewhat, those runs and even the reds at the most in the high 20 degrees, look quite mellow compared to some other reds you've skied.

Yes, I do wonder at times... I've struggled on some blues and found some blacks very easy...

@@ChasingSnow Yeah, correct colour run grading is a Europe wide problem, and even the main stream press have complained about it. BTW, next season during your travels, if you get round to Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun Maiskogel could you please ski down pieste No 14, the probably infamous Black Mamba, then I and other viewers will know what it is like?

@@ChasingSnow Yeah, the most mellow 'black' I've ever seen a skier go down, the last red with the moguls would have been a more fitting black.

Flat light makes it tough to read the snow. You must use radar.

To be honest, I don't usually ski on days like that but that was the first day after getting my van back, so I thought I'd make use of it.

I noticed this year that it seems more skiers (not boarders) are skiing without poles, is this a new thing or have I not noticed so much in the past?
