Those off piste runs really call to you. This one was really fun. When you got on the trail to the lift I thought you were thinking about slipping down the 40+% left side to the trail. Strange to see how little snow there is there. Tonight through Saturday we are going to get hit deep and wet, 16 to 22 inches.
It was a great day! I have plenty of great off-piste videos to post now... I'm not sure where you were thinking about 40+% left side of the trail. Are you able to add a timestamp?
It's snowing quite well in the Alps at the moment, with a few days of sun forecasted, so I'll take full advantage of that... :-)
My next trip to the Alps I am going to Verbier for sure!
Good choice :-)
Amazing piste, but I’m not ready for that yet! 😅
There are easier routes, I just decided to take the more difficult one ;-)
Great vid thank you. You have my sub.
Welcome and thank you...
Снизу весна, выше зима )
Yes, conditions are great up high, lots of snow falling now...
Definitely one of the best runs in Verbier, thanks for uploading. Just a general tip, after a few days without snowfall the moguls/buckels at the start of the run can become very high and difficult especially on busy days. To avoid these you can choose to traverse a little to the right at the start, for e.g. 200meters and then decent down into Chassoure/ Just follow the tracks to the right behind the skiclass at min 4:18. Only be careful to not decent to early since there are some little rock field underneath you.
Cheers, and thanks for the tips. It's the first time I've done this run so flat. Normally, the moguls are big, as you mentioned. I took full advantage of this day with some great videos to come... stay tuned...
@@ChasingSnow Sounds great, enjoy your time there!
Thanks!
We were here 2 days ago hope you enjoyed it!! Thank god it’s not so cloudy and misty like a few days ago
The weather was great with fresh powder, so I really enjoyed this visit. I have some great videos coming, so stay tuned...
@@ChasingSnow yes the powder was amazing!! Not very much in the season do you get fresh powder
@@user-le9zv1zz9p Exactly, that's when everyone comes out...
So that's what Verbier looks like. When I get to be a seasoned skier, 🤞by the next leap year day, and am comfortable on those slope gradients, I'll go there myself.
It's a great resort for competent skiers, off-piste heaven... you'll feel at home with all the British people there...
@@ChasingSnow That's nice to know. There weren't many fellow Britons in Le Due Alpes. Got my new boots yesterday, I have now got some Salomon S/Pro Alpha 100 GW/Grip Walk. My mondo is apparently 27/27.5. They were comfy right out of the box, even with the included insoles. replaced the insoles with my sidas ones, to see how I go, otherwise I'll put the Salomon insoles back, and as a nuclear option may get some custom insoles done.
These boots are intermediate, there is a similar boot in 90 flex aimed at beginners, BUT I'm sort of close to leaving the beginner stage, so these will probably be more appropriate for me. And boots last 6 years so in 2030 I'll 🤞be an early advanced skier and will up grade to a better Salomon boot.
Now all I need is a pair of ski's to go with them, which is why I'm off to Glide & Slide in Oakley on the 16th, as they are an official stockist for Kastle, Fischler and Stockli ski's IF I invest in the top end of the market ski's. Want to finish the lessons first thou and lesson 6 is on the 18th, then I'll see about getting some skis'.
@Puzzoozoo ok, I have those boots... I bought two pairs when they first came out, they are comfortable so I think you've made a good choice. I still have them and my kids use them when they ski with me...
I don't know how they do it, but if there's a blizzard or 100 km/h winds, 90% of their runways are open.
Good to know, but these days, I don't usually ski on such days. However, I used to...
