COMBAT SATURDAY - TRAIN MOVEMENT, NOT TECHNIQUE
If you only see things in terms of techniques, then that's all it will ever be. However, if you learn to train movement, then it can be everything from strikes to joint locks and any number of possibilities. #centrelineboxing #chriswongfitness #HIIT

      @bogwoppit792 Thank you for your kind words and thanks for subscribing. One of the reasons for my fluidity is the fact that I learned Boxing as my first martial art. I love the flow and footwork of Boxing. When I learned Wing Chun later on, it filled in the gaps in Boxing. Now the way I see it, they are inseparable. I see them as two parts of a whole, and that's the way I teach it. I saw some of your videos as well. Good stuff!

    • @inhometraineroakville1174
      @inhometraineroakville1174 Před 4 měsíci

      Your whole foot needs to be grounded and rooted. The pressure is more on the balls of the foot. That way, if you want to transfer to the heels to absorb force, you can. If it's already on the heel, you've got nowhere to go. Wing Chun lives and breathes in that extremely close range. Basically punch or palm strike until you're too close. Them switch to elbows and headbutts. I've studied Jeet Kune Do as well. The problem is most JKD guys can only fight at a distance. But true JKD includes the very close range. First generation students like Jesse Glover and Dan Inosanto understood this
