I hate how broken TWR2 battles are, this shit is kindergarden on legendary when you got pikemen, some thorax swords, cav javelin and slings. Like its just impossible to loose a campaign. On the other hand we got shogun 2 on legendary and i remember playing ikko ikki, getting past 30 rounds was basicly undoable😂 😂 Just shows how hard it is to make a decent difficulty system and good AI...

How to play Senones in "Rise of the Republic" Senones has Naked Warriors which in campaign too are recruitable by other factions if on their capital. Unlike in the Grand Campaign, ROTR Naked Warriors has "berserk" similar to Germanic Berserkers,negating the Fatigue Penalty

this is a bad tip it only works when you have vastly superior numbers, why not just use the extra infantry unit to flank the enemy? also the battle buddy system is just straight up bullshit. first of all you are wasting the second units javelins, and more importantly if you have spear units to double stack, why not just bring some missiles or cavs?

I literally only use pikemen in my army. If I’m being invaded I’ll put my pikemen in a corner and watch them kill everyone or if I’m in a field I’ll put them in a square and watch the enemy fall

From my experience Picked hoplites are usually best when playing athens. Army gets rather small but you can use the hammer (lancers) on the very good anvil (picked hoplites)
