Professionally made content with a good sprinkle of tasteful humour! If you made these back in Rome 2's heyday you would have been huge 😭
I appreciate it! I'm waiting on that Empire 2/Medieval 3 release! Sadly I was but a young lad during R2 heyday.
great little video eager to see more
Really liking the idea of this series, and so far the quality is very high, I hope you continue for the remaining factions.
Much appreciated. I will be gone for a bit over the next few months. Ive got content scheduled out. But when I return I will continue this series for the remaining factions.
This guide is awesome! I hope you make more videos on general tips and tricks you have that can be applied to any faction, would very much want to hear from your knowledge in this game
4:16 had me ROLLING.
Please I need more of this content I can’t wait for the next faction to be covered xD
Glad you enjoyed it! I will hopefully be able to interject some more humor into the following guides. They are going to be following more of a "First X turns" structure.
Im intending to play each faction from A-Z and it just so happens that the Ardiaei are super tough so this really helped, looking forward to the rest.
Looking forward to more of these very well done
Thank you
high quality work as always!
Thank you, sir!
i hope you continue this series
This is a good channel, would love to see more videos in future. I think with the rise of online cheaters in other game genres, people may be turning more to these strategy games. Love Rome 1 & 2
Much appreciated, Ben.
One of these for the suebi would be great, because despite what the game says their start is atrocious. You are limited to trash tier levy units, have one of the weakest general units in wodanaz spears, are surrounded by two hostile germanic tribes, which are all but guaranteed to declare on you within the first 10 turns, as well as the boii, the boii get two settlements, two armies at the start, oathsworn as generals which can genuinely solo half your army and cav from turn 1, as well as better units than you. It's rough.
🌟 Taking a moment to express sincere appreciation for your incredible content! 🎉📚🤹♂️Your work has brought so much value and enjoyment myself. Thank you for your dedication to creating high-quality, Total War Rome 2 content. Excited for more of your amazing creations! 💖 Love from Pakistan! 🇵🇰 💗🙌👏👍🎈🎊🎁📸🔥🌟🤩💯
Thank you.
Can you make one for Athens.... I can't seem to manage the upkeep whenever I play Athens
Of course! I'll cover all grand campaign factions.
Amazing work as always! This is both entertaining and helpful. Looking forward to more of these.
Thank you!
How would you play Odryssian Kindom? That campaign is a nightmare for me
Like a true Balkan Chad!
I really really like your content, there hasen't been so much time since youtube recommended you, and i'm looking forward to watch all your videos. But i have to give you some feedback, the music in this videos its kinda of a bummer, at least for me, maybe it's a good idead to not use music at all or just lower it a little bit more.
I appreciate the feedback! Yeah it's always a bit tough trying to find the perfect song to fill that background void using the YT library. But I'll take notes! Better song selection, lower volume.
Where is the rest ?
I have Rome Remastered and thought about getting Rome II but decided against it as I thought they’d be too similar a game. Now I’m thinking I was wrong, are they different enough experiences to be worth paying for Rome II?
I much prefer Rome 2 over Rome 1 but thats just my opinion. I'd get Rome 2 for sure but only on sale. Lucky for you, I think there is the Sega Sale right now on steam so all TW titles and DLC are up to 75% off until SEP 21st.
@@Bubinni That sale is actually why I’m asking this question lol. From what I’ve seen and played it feels like Rome 1 is unique in its simplicity. I’m glad it was my first TW as it was easy to learn but by the end of every campaign I can’t help but get a bit bored of endless gold and troop spam
@@Onyxiros The endgame is the same for every TW.
Did u delete your videos of your Marcomanni campaign legendary total war?
They're not deleted. They're currently unlisted.
@@Bubinni ok, just started watching them and they are suddenly gone
I have completed every GC in the game on hard but for some reason Legendary never works for me. Ardiaei is my favorite faction and I feel like I'm chasing my tail. Literally everyone is at war with me even if I am fighting their enemies.
At the start, the only faction that will probably not fight you is Macedon. You can make Sparta like you by attacking Epirus. But if you go North, none of the factions in Pannonia will be friendly with you.
Seems a bit passive
I managed to defeat Epirus by turn 3 but then you seems kinda stuck in a giant battle for Athens.
It is. You can go south and fight off Epirus but if you do, you have to deal with the public order issues of a different dominate culture in the region instead of pacifying a province with your own culture. Also, this means you have to now fight the Greeks which is do-able but for a newer player on legendary it will be difficult with just levies and raiders against the hoplites and pikes that the Greeks field. Especially considering the buffs units get on legendary.
@@Bubinni Yeah that is a good argument. Fighting all the Greeks at once is a good challenge. Perhaps another invasion might be easier somehow.
But I don't think we should learn players to sit around for so many turns not fighting.
Yep that was my experience the Greeks and Celtic just declaring war on me once I controlled illyria was a slow shit show of boring slow passive action but payed of in the end
=
where is the next faction ;)
Working on it. Doing a different approach for the next video. Been a long time coming.
@@Bubinni okay amazing 😊😊
My man, with all due respect, but after all these years you haven't figured out how to take the most out of this game when it comes to campaign mechanics. So you are basically saying that a faction whose strength is cheap mercenary recruitment to not hire mercenaries... havent you realised that you can have units upkeep for free if you hide your money. You can even have deficit and nothing will happen, since there's no debt concept in the game.
Through constant sacking, looting, enslavement and embezzlement you can have way more money than trying to keep an steady, short money surplus.
Oh I truly do know how to do that and how that strategy goes. But for a newer player having to constantly be at war to sack a city to keep their economy afloat when the mercenaries cost 50% more than normal is going to cause them to struggle. You also seem to forget that building upgrades range anywhere from 1200-5000 denars. With a negative income due to all the mercs you have and sacking a city only giving you like 2500 you'd have to be at war constantly with multiple people because sacking just 1 city over and over again wont be enough to sustain. Another strat is recruiting mercs for 1 turn, taking the town, then disbanding them. But you can only do that for so long before the mercenary pool is empty and needs to be replenished.
And to continue on, if youre constantly enslaving people you will suffer massive public order penalties at some point. Even with the slave trade building.
