That's a solid observation and a good theory. I'm assuming 129 came up from Springfield with the coach, but I'm not sure why they brought it with them.

@@amtrakandcsxrailfanning351 Just to add to the mystery, I forgot to mention that if you watch the parting shot @ 1:22 as the train is rounding the corner - 123 is running still pushing out exhaust. I'm wondering if they had tree damage to the front of that engine?

Thank you and I agree with the last of the workhorses. That's all my Gramp and Dad ever had on the farm, inline six, 2wd and chains in the winter. Simple stuff and ran it for years.

@@Steelrailbearingwhen are you going to come to back to vermont rail system? We have to new Vermont rail engines, we got them in September, 2202 and 2234 and we have a former NJT locomotive number 313 and 405 is in Burlington

@@Vermont-rail-fanner-432 Yes I would like to get up there again. Is VRS still running 263 on Sunday's? That 313 is an interesting unit, I haven't seen many pictures or video's of it.

@@Steelrailbearing 263 did run last Saturday which was weird but 263 still runs Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays. On Sundays they leave Rutland in between 6:45-8:00

I don't put any weight on there. The rear wheels have chains and I don't shovel the snow off the bed most of the time.
