Hi, everybody. Sorry for not uploading any new videos for such a long time, but at last I have managed to make a video about one of the most anoying problem on these cars - failure of the parking assistance. I have also replaced DRL bulbs and share with you a trick to make it easier to replace them. Parking sensors I have used: a.aliexpress.com/_EJLxw7l

If you can smell exhaust gasses and some smoke can be seen on top of the 2.0HDI 163 (RHH) engine, then most probably you have a leaking injector seal, in most cases, due to broken injector holder. The tool you use in 9:35 is not so good. It is very easy to scratch a surface underneath the o-ring and cause leakage. It is much better to use some kind of dull tool. I used to work in automotive industry for over 10 years and we had to remove tools like these from production line, just because quite often operators using them, accidentally damaged produced parts. Except of this small issue, I find your video very informative.

      @rustoil Good to know! I have this same engine that's why I asked. It's the main difference between the DW10BTED4 and the DW10CTED4 was the introduction of the variable flow oil pump. That said, I have seen these DW10CTED4 engines with over 800k KM on their original oil pumps so I would say frequent oil changes (10k) will prevent failure. Was the oil pump the cause of your engine failure? And if so have you any idea why that might have been? Cheers!

    • @rustoil
      @rustoil Před měsícem

      @19jacobob93 well, I dont exactly know, what was the main cause of the failure. I guess that it was not properly repaired after cranshaft/connecting rods bearings replacement and those failled again. Pump chain was in place. I dont know if there was any problems with oil pressure before engine started to knock...

    I must say: what a horrific intake manifold construction! Why the heck is it so unnecessarily huge? Couldn't they split it up so you don't have to remove high pressure fuel lines and timing belt cover? If you want to clean up your intake from carbon, you end up with camshafts uncovered! Now try to clean up the part of the intake in the header, not to letting the dirt to get into the engine... What a disastrous engineering... I have this engine in Jumper (I think in UK it's Relay), and what's worse, the main part of the intake manifold is inside the engine compartment, because the hood is very short and you can only see the oil cap.
