UMX Night Conscendo V2
Adding lights to the UMX Conscendo was a challenge but I'm very happy I did it. Unfortunatley the choice of blue lights was hard to see in low light, so I decided to switch the lights on the wings to red and green, and also the connector for the lights to a magnets one I found on Aliexpress.
The flight video isn't the greatest, but I hope I can get a better low light flight soon.

I missed late evening flights with my UMX Twin Otter. It's a great airplane and the flight was great, although I had a false feeling it was going into low voltage protection and did a fast rough landing. UMX WACO maiden flight on 2S

I usually try all my planes on all battery options they have, just to see how they behave. For some reason the WACO was only flown on 3S, until now. It still flies great on 2S, it can go really slow and it's still fairly aerobatic. Of course 3S gives more flight envelope but nothing wrong with flying it on 2S.
On board the E-flite Eratix - can be scary but also fun

The E-flite Eratix has ruined other planes for me, as I now sometimes expect everything to be as responsive as this l. While it is a lot of fun, it can also get scary sometimes as it's easy to lose orientation, so for now I tend to fly a bit higher until I feel more comfortable with it. Hence the on board camera, hopefully, that will make the video a bit more interesting.

Always a joy to fly, my UMX Air Tractor is still one of the best micros in my hangar. Even after almost lawn darting it flying inverted (thank God for SAFE being faster than my thumbs) and a bad landing

I love the E-flite UMX Timber X for its aerobatic abilities. I ordered the rtf kit for my son to become his first rc airplane. But what battery can fit the battery compartment? Would a 1S800mAh fit in it? Would a rating of 20-30C constant drain suffice? Nice review, thanks! Cheers, Ken, Finland
Thanks for watching and commenting! I just tested if my Spektrum 800mah 1s would fit and it doesn't. As far as discharge I'm sure 20C would be enough, as much as these ratings can be trusted. Hope your son has fun with it, it's not the best plane but it sure is durable and the price is great for what it offers.

@@richardhutchinson9646 it looks even meaner, it's tougher and the body design at least lived on in more recent models. I really liked the Big Rock, if it would have been available when I got mine I probably would've went with it.
I only fly mine on 1300 mah batteries. It allows you to flare on landing. With the Habu you have to bleed off airspeed until it stalls onto the runway.
I don't have any but I might get one to try. Although I like the long flight time with the 2200.

It's perfect for summer when days are hot. And for winter when days are short 😄 Don't worry, there is time, I also have a lot on my head and not much time for RC now.

Thanks! I fly mostly with SAFE at night so I know at least it's level. Plus if it's dark it's easier to see where it is. Once you try it it's quite addictive.

Thanks! I also used the magnets holding the body of my crawler to connect the lights but these connectors are great. I also got some with 3 contacts, maybe for servos or I will see what I can use them for.

Has anyone tried any alternative fans with more or less, or more pitched tines?
I saw some 30mm fans online but I think they would be hard to replace and probably not much performance improvement if any. Besides the annoying sound I feel they give the plane decent performance.

Shoot the moon! Twin Otters large and small seem to be particularly hard on the nose gear. It comes up a lot in the 1.2 Twotter thread. All of your lighting work is superb. But the tail beacon should've come standard. A glaring miss on an otherwise excellent model. Pretty sunset.
It could just be my crappy landings 😄 Lucky you, you don't have that problem with floats.

WTF! That was a crazy 6-7 minutes. Next I want to see what telemetry sensors and data I can access. Pretty sure it has voltage & amp draw, prob ESC temps but a velocity & G load sensor would be extremely cool. Does anybody run spek’s smart 3s above the 850mah?
I'm glad it went well. I'm not 100% sure but I think it has telemetry, try in the radio menu telemetry then auto config. For battery I wouldn't go much higher, it already has great flight time for a jet, more weight won't help.

Nice flying Alex, do you know why it went into low voltage protection, the emergency landings were executed perfectly as the plane is still in one piece minus the nose gear but thats a small price to pay,should be an easy fix.....jeff.
I think it wasn't actually low voltage protection, I just thought I heard it pulsing and slowing down, but I think it might have been the wind after all.

I have to agree the air tractor is a great flying plane I would disagree strongly and saying it's one of the best you fly as may quite a few of these planned set Compete for that title here's some just the name a few aero commander, citation, A10,f-27 all the timbers icon a5 and more list
@@leon0247 That is true, there are many good ones, and I haven't flown even half maybe. But out of the new 3S capable ones I feel it's the most well rounded. Since this was released there have been others that are also excellent, such as the Conscendo. But after all, it's only subjective, for my style of flying it's great.

This is my favorite UMX Jet ever
So far it's my favorite jet regardless of size 😄 Not that I've flown many larger ones, but it flies great. The new ME 262 also looks interesting.
