In the Netherlands, at an intersection without signs stating otherwise, traffic from the right has priority . The red car did what was expected.

@@SwederisEverywhere so would you always have signs or markings at intersections when you're driving down a main road to tell you can go straight through with priority? In the UK if there are no signs, road markings, or lights perpendicular to your road to tell you otherwise, you drive straight through. If you need to stop or give way at any intersection, there will be lines perpendicular to your road and also signs to tell you. We also have mini roundabouts that do the same where there are clear visual cues that it's there (sign before hand, and a massive spot of paint, often raised like a speed hump) and you give way to the right. If the intersection is unmarked, nobody has priority so you will have to go slow and negotiate with the other road user who goes first, and you only get them on very minor side roads with miniman traffic like cul-de-sacs, so these occasions are rare.

@@ric4397 In the Netherlands the rule is : If there are no signs near a crossing all drivers coming from the right, including bicyclists, have priority. Those crossing are mostly found in residential area's with not much traffic. On busier roads there are always signs and/or traffic lights on crossings. When there are traffic lights there are usually also signs that regulate the right of way if the traffic light would be out of order. Dutch traffic laws are based on the KISS principle. (Keep it simple stupid). As you can see with the priority rules: No signs> every driver coming from the right has priority. Signs> Either you have priority or everyone else has priority.

@@williamgeardener2509 i wonder why its like that, because I've never seen it in any other country? Wouldn't it mean you would have to put up a lot more signs? Everywhere I've been, there's most of the time a major road and a minor road, so the major road has priority to keep the main traffic moving. Wouldn't unsigned intersections mean you'd have to speed up and slow down all the time, instead of driving straight down until you meet a more major road?

To be honest, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have AC. I was a bit disappointed in the behavior of some guests, as alcohol is free and not everyone can deal with that. It can get quite loud around the pools. It was a fun visit, but personally, I wouldn’t go back.
