I carry the Skeleton when I'm in town, and the Signal for camping or bikepacking. In hindsight, I should have chosen a brighter color instead of green for the Signal. The green blends easily with natural surroundings, making it difficult to find if accidentally dropped.

If you are having difficulty opening the blade then hold the knife on the collar end and tap the knuckle on the other end on a hard surface: works a treat. That is what the knuckle is for.

I have never had a gerber product that hasn't broken on me. It's nice that they're affordable and are "tacticool" if you're ontoo that aesthetic, but I'm totally done with them.

I got the aqua at the beginning of this sale. They extended the sale to Sportsman’s and other stores. I had a wetsuit in the same colors in the 80’s. I also got a Skeletool CX. I already had the regular. I’m using that Skeletool a lot at work.

Its a very regged tool. Than I replaced it with a Wave + & used that for several years. Currently im using a Leatherman Free P4, the best Leatherman I've had ever. I bought my 4 yo daughter the plastic Victorinox toy multi tool. I had one as a kid and I loved it. I also got her a pink (her favorite color) cherry blossom SD in a unicorn silicone case with pink paracord necklace for when she's older, but I sometimes let her wear it around her neck for a little while on a weekend day.

Hi Anne, I have to plea guilty belonging to the 99.9% statistic. Yes I have multiple SAKs and multitools (both Victorinox and Leatherman branded) in my possession. Some are remaining from my service time in the Dutch army. To my opinion, this video is defenitely touching some core antropological discussion points. I do not believe gender should be any point of descision to obtain a multitool or SAK. In my current job as air cargo and mail security supervisor I work with many dedicated men and women to their jobs. The most of them do have a tool in their pocket. Just recently I had a fine conversation with one of my female K9 handlers who just puchased a new Leatherman Skeletool. I am raising my 3 year old daughter how to handle my tools wisely: do not touch them when I am not around, when walking always keep the tools folded, when opening under my supervision, pay attention to the sharp edges, knives and tools are not scary if you treat them safely, and so on. My wife still owns het first Opinel. Also just recently on the market while buying vegitables and fruits, I saw one of the young female employees - I guess she was around the age of 17 - openly wearing an olive green Victorinox Sentinel on her belt. So I do not believe in the strict deviation of mascilin and feminine. In places where this deviation exists, it is mainly cultural anthropologically driven. Talking about my daughter: she is searching for her white with purple dots multitool to fix things... I only can smile about that 😂

Use Dremel tool w/cutoff wheel,but really all you need is a ceramic utility blade(also throws excellent sparks from a ferro rod) in your pocket it will go through any airport,I know I do it all the time,but it is prob.illegal 🙃

My wife carries the Tinker everywhere she goes.

In Spain, we cant go outdoor with any kind of medium knife or bigger, except if you go hikin or something. You cant leave in your poket while driving, only in yours car trunk. If you carry a knife at night, you will have problems, if you carry some multitool with knife, the same. And even if your knife its small like a classic or minichamp, it depends the particular police man apreciation if you allowed to carry they in public, based on your apearance. For those people like us who like to carry a multitool with us every time, but no want trouble with justice, they gona make that "bladeless" model. I will go to buy it day one. I think its no complicated to understand. They will still making another blade tools.

Great idea for a video. For the last twenty-five years, I have been saving the tools that come with put-together furniture I keep them together in their own box. I like using my Swiss Plus tool with the ratchet. Most of the time I use my Dewalt 1/4 impact.
