Bowdabra Bow Maker Tutorial/Easy DIY Bow/Make a Wreath Bow/Fall Bow Instructions/Halloween Bow
In this video I show making an easy Bow with a Bowdabra Bow Maker. This bow can be used on a wreath, lantern, garland, porch, or anywhere you'd like a touch of Fall or Halloween! Finished bow size is approximately 10 inches wide x 18 inches long.
Supplies:
2.5 inch wired ribbon
1 zip tie
1 pipe cleaner (optional, used for attachment)
Scissors
Bowdabra Bow Maker
Ruler/Measuring Tape/Craft Mat
Measurements:
2 ribbon pieces cut at 29 inches each for the streamers - dove tail if desired
First 2 Bow loops are 5 inches, the next 4 are 5 1/4 inches
The 4 inner loops are 4 inches
Center loop is a little over 3 inches
Supplies:
2.5 inch wired ribbon
1 zip tie
1 pipe cleaner (optional, used for attachment)

Beautiful flower! I want to make a chrysanthemum. This is the closest tutorial I have found. However, wondering instead of the daisy petal center, would it be best to just do the ruffle petal in the center? I am thinking so, but you are the expert! Also, on a 14-inch frame how many ruffle petals around the outside frame?

How do you get your mesh not to fray?
I always had a sharp blade in my Rotary cutter and I really didn't handle the mesh any more than absolutely necessary. I would get some fraying and would carefully trim it with scissors. đ

You do such gorgeous work â€. Wouldnât it be better to use 5â-6â mesh to cut down on waste? Just thinking of saving $.
A smaller size mesh is just going to make smaller petals because the bottom part still needs to be secured with a zip tie or pipecleaners (which is where the waste is). I've tried lol

Thank you for your video. I've been inspired to make a wreath. The 24" finished size would be too large for my home. If I use a smaller frame than 15", would I have to adjust the dimensions of the cuts for the ribbons and mesh?

I'll be honest - I've tried a few different ways to use a smaller frame and have had difficulty with either the middle of the wreath gets filled in or the ribbon pieces were ridiculously small lol. Still haven't perfected that yet đ€Ł
How much ribbon is needed in length?
Did you use a cutter or scissors or a wood burner to cut all of your pieces? I did not see any fraying.
The only thing I've ever used is a rotary cutter. I would handle the cut pieces as little as possible and trim any strays/frays with scissors.

Cool wreath and east to follow instructions. Iâm new to this. I have a question. Help me if you can. I wanted to make a yardstick wreath. The measurements I wanted to go by are 10âX30â mesh pieces. I have three 10â rolls..2 are 10 yds..1 red and one white, and one 6yd roll of peppermint striped. If I cut them the full 30â I will be short on peppermint striped. Can I make the mesh pieces shorter and still have a full wreath?
