  • This deco mesh ruffle wreath tutorial with 10 inch mesh shows how to make a mesh peacock wreath with ribbon. This is a very easy DIY deco mesh wreath to make - great for beginners!
    Supplies used for this wreath:
1 Dollar Tree 14 inch wire wreath form
3 colors of 10 inch by 10 yard mesh - 8 pieces of each for a total of 24, all cut 10 inches x10 inches.
Wired Ribbon - 2 different ones, and a deco mesh ribbon - all 2 1/2 inches wide. I used 36 pieces, 12 of each, all cut 14 inches long. 3 pieces for each bundle, 12 bundles total.
    Pipe Cleaners
    Scissors
    Rotary Cutter and Mat
    All mesh from craftoutlet.com

I agree also. Now it seems popular to make a 1-2 hr video just to make one wreath. And listening to them respond to people’s comments the whole time. Annoying. This is much better . Pretty wreath also.

Beautiful wreath! Thank you so much for really showing how you were putting this together! Most of the time I just wing it because the ones I watch don't really take the time to explain what or how they are positioning the mesh or ribbon. I am an older woman that is fairly new to mesh wreaths. I have made a lot of wreaths in the past with grapevine & flowers & a bow. Thank you also for not adding a bow. So many that I watch have this beautiful wreath then put a humongous bow & a sign to where you can't even see the actual wreath. A lot of money wasted as far as I am concerned. Enough blabbing, Haha. Thanks again!💕

A tip for your peacock ribbon that sheds really bad is to spray it with hair spray to prevent some of the glitter from coming off.

@@annmiller1573 i was on this channel and noticed your comment and I have a trick that works for me, so hopefully it works well for you to. I will apply floral tape really tightly to the spots on the wire frame your using. So apply the tape as you normally would, I mean stretch the tape as you wrap it around the area you want to place a wire stem. The floral tape will act like a piece of tape and grab onto the stem you've placed their. If for some reason the floral tape won't stick by itself then use a little dot of hot glue to each end of the floral tape and it will stay put with no issues. Hope that helps prevent your wire stems from moving on the frame.

Hi, I'm so happy to hve found your channel. I love peacocks, hve since I was a toddler. I am abt to make a Peacock wreath. Thankful you included the links for the ribbons- those I dont have yet.
Instead of deco mesh, I am using ornaments; of peacock colors as well as diff shapes and designs.
    So I need these ribbons.
    I do have a question.. ..
    Why did you use purple?
Peacocks do not have purple feathers - indigo yes.
They have brown, black and rust/russet colored feathers.
A tiny bit of white and black on the face.. .. but no purple- Anywhere.
I'm very perplexed, abt the purple.
(Purple is 1 of my 2 fav colors).

A few years ago Costco had a gorgeous teal/blue/yellow peacock ribbon very similar to that. I unfortunately wasn't able to buy any of it because the day Costco put their holiday ribbon out people hoard all of it and the cool styles like the peacock sells out in a day or two. So unless I go every other day I miss out on the cool designs like that. 😕

Have you tried Dollar Tree online? Last I checked they still had the 14 inch frame (but I could be wrong!). I would add the pipecleaners to the extra sections and you'll need more mesh, and ribbkn, but it will look the same, just bigger 🙂

I’m new to this. I have a question. Help me if you can. I wanted to make a yardstick wreath. The measurements I wanted to go by are 10”X30” mesh pieces. I have three 10” rolls..2 are 10 yds..1 red and one white, and one 6yd roll of peppermint striped. If I cut them the full 30” I will be short on peppermint striped. Can I make the mesh pieces shorter and still have a full wreath?

beautiful ! How much does it costs to make deco mesh wreath?? I’m thinking about making them and might sell them !!

    • @cynthiacler9284
      @cynthiacler9284 Před 3 lety +1

It all depends on the type of deco mesh you purchase as well as the quality/design of ribbon and any other picks/doo-dads. But I would say ballpark the cheapest it will cost is about 8.00 and goes up from their. You can spend upwards of 60.00 on a wreath if you use expensive ribbon and don't watch your sales. I suggest only making 2 or 3 wreaths to start and let people see your work. Tell them you can change the color scheme or holiday/theme for the wreath, so they know you can. Just don't make the mistake of purchasing alot of supplies and end up not selling any or very few wreaths. Believe me I know from experience. You can also sell your work on FB or Etsy that craft website that sells all handmade merchandise. And I always loved to look at other peoples wreaths. To give me ideas for themes or colors to use, but DONT EVER copy another person's wreath work, I personally find that so rude. I know some say its a compliment to do that, but I see it differently. I figure if someone was talented enough to imagine that craft project, whatever it is then they should take receive full recognition for it. Don't get me wrong you can use the same color scheme, just use a different design/theme so the craft project you make has a part of your style in it, because that's what makes it special and will help it standout to your customers. Hope that helps and sorry for such a lloooooommmgg comment. ☺
