I have been living in Bangkok for 6 months. I can communicate with the locals but not on fluently. Its only been 6 months that I have been going to a language school learning Thai. Alex, I don't work here. But my American friend does work here, and because he is working here, it is far easier for a Black American man who is working in Thailand to meet and build (work and personal) relationships with Thai women. Alex, at times I think Thais are not biased or prejudiced based on my ability to be able to talk or interact with the Thais who know who I am, who working at the local 7-Eleven, McDonald's, KFC or Villa Market grocery store. But, none of these ladies who know me have ever invited me to go somewhere and introduce me to other Thais! I have invited the people who know me to go out to local events, but they are always too busy! But I always see them post videos on Instagram having fun with their Thai friends. Listen everyone's experience in life will be different. As I said I don't work here, so I will not be able to build the type of work and personal relationships with Thais the same way, a foreigners who works does! Thus, I am polite and sociable with the security guard working in the condo where I live. I socialize with Thais that see me often, because there's so familiarity. But, none of these people have ever invited me to go out and hangout at any local events! Alex, there are Thais who are FAT, out of shape and even single moms who would love to go out on a date! But, I don't date single moms! Especially in Thailand or the Philippines! They have a BAD REPUTATION! I don't think GAME is the problem Alex. Lots of Thais are very LAZY and poor simple minded people. They don't think about next week, next month or next year. Only for today! I also know that no Asian person will ever be allowed to SAVE FACE at my expense! I disagree on lots of things here in Thailand and I realize that the cultural differences between Americans and Thais are a lot to accept from both parties! For example, I own 2 properties in America, I retired at 38 yrs old! So, as a successful man with 2 degrees (an BA in Banking law and Finance) and a MBA (in consumer advocacy law) and having traveled to over 26 countries! So, what should I think when a 20 or 21 yr old Thai girl tells me I should help her and just give her money (that I worked for) to solve her problems, because she is too LAZY to either go out with a foreigner who is interested in supporting her to get a decent educated, or she is only motivated to stare at her cellphone all day long, taking fotos of herself or watching video on Instagram or Tick-Tock! Alex most older Thai woman have kids by another man! And I am not getting involved with women who have kids and parents they feel they must financially support! I won't sign up for that deal! The woman who I do go out with are Cambodians and women from Laos! I have had more successful encounters with these women then Thai women! And I have been able to build a friendship with a woman from Burma! But, Thai women are a confusing, unreliable, untrustworthy, sort who are very indecisive and not diligent in my opinion living here in Thailand. But this is just my opinion based on what I have seen living here!
