Home quarantine/isolation in Phuket. I caught the Omicron variant of Covid-19 at the New Years Eve countdown on Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand. Even though I have been fully vaccinated and given my booster covid shot for the protection of the covid virus. On NYE I went out to celebrate the New Years 2022 at Bangla Road in Patong, I was wearing a mask most of the time and washing my hands and despite me being young-ish and healthy with 3 jabs, the Omicron variant still infected me.
    Symptoms included:
    Sore throat (bad)
    mucus (bad)
    running nose
    sneezing
    fatigue (moderate)
    loss of smell and taste
Omicron's symptoms were NOT fun to have, I have had worse but it still was very unpleasant to have, yes a bad cold BUT a bad cold normally goes away after a few days of rest, Omicron variant sickness lasted 8+ days with little recovering till day 7. I registered with the Thai GOV/hospital here in Phuket for HOME isolation as my sickness was mild and hospital beds are running low, I also received antiviral meds to help speed up the recovery.
If you are traveling to Thailand please stay safe, many people arriving in the Thailand test & go and Phuket Sandbox are testing positive of the omicron covid variant upon arrival. To the anti Vaxxers, please be extra careful as if you are not Asymptomatic and you get covid19, it can be dangerous, take it from me, someone who has 3 jabs and still the illness was pretty bad, I can imagine what it would have been like if I was not vaccinated,
    Please stay safe people.

NIce to see you are fit again. I have read that family who does not test positive have to go to quarantine hotel. And the insurance-companies dont cover that. The normal price-range for these hotels are approximately 150-200000 baht pr 14 days. Be aware of this! Thanks for sharing.

@@Thailandreservations How was the prosess when you got to stay at home? Do you need a registered home adress? Or lets say I pay someone who has an airbnb, you think that will work?
