On Episode 3 of Where 2 Bang we visit the Krabi Province of Thailand to train Muay Thai at a popular gym called Khun Suek Muay Thai training camp.
I booked a private Muay Tahi lesson with Kru Peteak "Peteak S Suwanpakdee" a renowned fighter from southern Thailand 15 years ago with over 300+ fights!🇹🇭🏆
The 4x Rajadamnern Champion known best for his elbow striking is one of the best Krus in the game and who fought Buakaw Banchamek not once but twice, winning 1 and losing 1 to the Thaiboxing legend.
This gym has all the fitness and fighter training needs, with a full Muay Thai boxing area, a weight gym, a strength & conditioning/CrossFit area and even a massage room. Another highlight of this gym is the location, it is right outside Ao Nang Krabi town and overlooks the ocean, one of the only Muay Thai boxing and fitness gym with sea views like this in Thailand.
    My Review:
I would rate my trainer Peteak Suwanpakdee 5 stars, as this guy is the real deal, he cares about teaching and pays attention to details, he is also very friendly. I'd rate the gym as a whole 4 stars, the communication wasnt the best trying to book a private lesson and just lacked in service and info a bit but I'd still highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to train, fight or just wants to lose weight and get fit.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I wasn’t there long enough but I know in krabi close by are lots of good Thai and western restaurants down by the beach. Food shouldn’t be a worry

Jebus, the punishment these guys take every single day....hairline fracture cracks escalated by incessant "Banging". In your (great by the way) filming of these Muay Thai trainers....what age was the oldest trainer you came across? Are there trainers in their 70's? You can find this in all types of Martial Arts but I'm curious to know if there are trainers in their 60's 70's or even older in this particular fighting skill set. As a side note.....great to see you in action! Didn't know you trained in this sport. I did Taekwondo for years but just do the stretch exercises these days. Hopefully see ya again at a wedding some day on USM!

Thanks for the comment. My first ever trainer was in his mid 60s and passed away in his early 70s. Not many old trainer (over 60) in gyms, lots of damage not only to the brain but to the joints and everything else, what’s harder than fighting is the training they do, 2x 2-3hr training sessions plus 10-15k run everyday 6 days a week, that will wear you down. Yup been training 16 years now, that’s how I ended up in Thailand, living that life but found I was better at taking photos and it paid much more! Haha

@@Thailandreservations I can imagine that it'd be hard on the joints and body. That's a LOT of training at an advanced age. We did meet quite a few times at weddings. I somehow always had a problem with the projectors. Wedding couple would have the video in the wrong format or a cable would be needed...ha ha....Are Wed's picking up where you are again? Pre 2019 levels?

@@bruehahaha yup I remember and you never had an input for our audio recorder 😅 weddings are picking up but slowly, nowhere near pre pandemic days, maybe 20%

I've never travelled solo overseas before, would you recommend doing this as a first timer, even though I've trained Muay Thai before?
