I don't like any of the armies. Royal clan has not a single fast element. And the miner army has no iron drakes and or iron breaker

do the runic tattoos and the engineers' weapon runes go to the grand army list? are they included in the rune limits? like, "thane can take 75 points of weapon, engineers' weapon, armor and talisman runes" (those runes are also for thanes, as per warhammer community article)

the goblin hewer makes marchin column a bit less attractive, its a shame that outside of unhrims army you cant get doom seekers without them being mercs which in my book makes them too unreliable.

Thanks for the nice review. Personally I think the journal is a complete design fail because it does not address in any way the many crippling weaknesses of dwarf armies in TOW that make them boring to play and boring to play against.

You have a different copy then mountain miniatures, there is noted the axe of dargo has a strenght S+2 instead of yours reads only 2 !!!

Excellent info as always. I had a challenge dilema come up in a game and haven't found the answer. This is what happened in the game: I charged some knights into a unit with a caster. I issued a challenge with the 1st knight(champion) to take out the caster. The other player refused the challenge and moved to the back rank. Does my champion now just strike the unit as normal? In the heat of the battle I couldn't find the rule that pertained to this situation.

37.00 a wizards on a horse is heavy cav, and there for can not join a unit of light cav if they are skirmishing

Terradons are skirmishers. Can they march 30 inchs? If so would you mind sharing the rules that allow this? Also, is close order a default formation and would you mind sharing more information on formations and how you go in and out of them and who can adopt a certain formation? thanks for all the videos they are very informative.

I like to use a charge duel combo. Duke with mace in one Knight or Knight Errants unit and one BSB Paladin with mace in the other (pop q grail vow if in a knight errant unit to give them rerolls on 1s). You smash in and if they're able to brace themselves from the charge you slap the gauntlet of the duel down and then hammer them with your mace and virtue of heroism and the like. That way, when you finally get rhem to break, your knight errants can charge them down and earn their spurs

Hey there, good to have you back. Loving your content, keep it coming! There's quite an important thing that I think you've been getting wrong about panic 32:04 . When a unit panics, it flees away from the nearest enemy units (or the one that caused the panic test, if the panic is caused by heavy casualties), not from the source of the panic. In the case of your first tomb king game, your dragon would have ended up back towards your deployment zone. I think that avoids the weird feeling you had about panicking for advantage!

Regular chaos knights dont get counter charge unfortunately . The new faq gave counter charge to chaos steeds which only affects characters on chaos steeds

I think that your dragon should have fled from the nearest enemy unit rather than away from the destroyed friendly unit. Page 161 Nearby Friend Destroyed: If a unit with a Unit Strength of 5 or more is destroyed, all friendly units within 6" must immediately make a Panic test. Leave the destroyed unit in place until the tests are made in order to give a point to measure from. Once all tests have been made, any unit that failed its Panic test will flee directly away from the nearest enemy unit which is not itself fleeing.

Someone in another video said that there was a lot of swallowing, I said pish posh, sure thing.... but now I am keenly aware of the frequency of the swallowing and breathing that they pointed out..

1:11:32 - Why did we immediately jump to a unit of 10 Foot Knights (with command and shield, ect...) for 150+ points? The second rank can't fight (and of course stepping up does nothing for any casualties) and if you're looking to use them as a counter-charge unit (which I agree with) a big line of 10 isn't likely what you want (plus a long line doesn't work well with Furious Charge). Why not units of 5? With great weapons they're a very modest 60 points, for up to 10 great weapon attacks on the charge into something your Men-At-Arms are holding down. Shields are only 5 points more if you're really worried about that (or just screen them with skirmishing Peasant Bowmen until you need them) but at only 60/65 points you can easily afford a few units to threaten nasty counter attacks for your Men-At-Arms and if they die they cost you very little. I'm a big fan of them. 1:22:00 - Why on foot vs mounted? Half the cost and Furious Charge. Foot Knights with Great Weapons are 12 ppm (points per model), Mounted Knights are 24 ppm. Foot Knights have 2 GW attacks on the charge, mounted knights have 1 Lance (and 1 for the horse). Shape/size also matters a bit, Lance formation/Cavalry Bases vs Infantry lines. I'm not saying Mounted Knights don't have things going for them (movement and armor being the big ones) but I certainly don't think "Why would you take them?" is a terribly fair question for Foot Knights. 1:13:50 - Let me start off by saying I love Men-At-Arms. I will always take a few big blocks of them. That said, I don't really hold to the Blessed Triptych plan. Saying you're "guaranteed" to hold thanks to that isn't really true because your champions can (and should be if your opponent is paying attention) sniped out of the unit in combat by the enemy just allocating attacks against them. The Grail Monk can very easily die taking his Triptych with him and suddenly you're down 36 points with no Stubborn. I'd rather just have another 9(!) Men-At-Arms for that amount of points and eat the charge the normal way. Just put more cheap bodies on the field is my thinking.
