    I love this bag. I love the size. I have always carried a large bag all my life so many of the crossbody bags are small. I would like to see how you do the top zippers to where the corners aren’t curved. Thank you for all your demonstrations.

    I love this! Can you please explain how you would sew it with directional fabric? And how to put Kam snaps on? I'm not sure which direction to place the snaps on the directional fabric. I seem to make everything more complicated! 😬 Thank you so much! 😍

    You make attaching sliders so easy. Unless the quality of continous zip in Aus is superior to ours that is available in Zambia, Africa. I really struggle. And have to tug away at the ends, Sometimes the zipper frays somuch I have to recut ends to straighten them up. Any suggestions, I would really appreciate thankyou

    Mixing the single sew along with additional instructions for bulk sewing made it rather confusing to me. Although I do understand why you would do it this way for people farther along… for newer sewers it just added “extra words” in between our instructions that we had to decipher out what we needed to do and what was not relevant. Not complaining but you always say that you like feedback. And the new camera angle was fine, imo.

  • @sharonarmstrong4578

    Hi from Qld. I am in the process of making a bag with a zipper at the top of the bag. The zipper is cut longer, and pushes down into the side of the bag. Then when you want to open up the bag wider, you pull the zipper out. What I would like to see your way of doing the zipper ends. I hope that all makes sense.

  • @juliecarrolltontx2948

    Christine, cute bag. I love the heat press! What a nightmare to Armand there with an iron trying to get fusible fleeces and foams to look nice. I have a sewing question. I know you’re a pattern maker like me. I’m making a serger cover from an idea I saw and I made a pattern but I’ve run it to a huge problem. I sewed the front piece to the side pieces and now I’m trying to get the back sewn on. The problem is I can’t figure out how to get the 3 pieces together. I tried cutting back the seam allowance from the two pieces that are already connected but my brain is just completely frozen because I can’t remember how to add the 3rd piece. Any ideas. Heeeeeeelp!

    Hi Christine, another great tutorial. I also preferred the old camera angle, it lets you see the needle and is closer. The new angle seemed a bit blurry. Also, those hooks would be great for a hanging travel cosmetic/ toiletry bag!

  • @bindilabaraba
    @bindilabaraba Před 2 dny

    Two more comments that experienced "fabric engineers" probably already know but may be useful for those beginning: 1. I want the sharpest corner possible (especially with many layers of fabric), so when I come to the corner I drop the needle and put in one or two diagonal stitches before turning 90 degrees and continuing. This provides me with some wiggle room and cannot be seen as anyting except a shart 90 degree angle once turned. Of course, clip the corners to remove as much bulk as is safe. 2. When turning inside out, I have often distorted the corners. Easy fix: add a little steam, place fingers just below the corner and pull sideways in both directions. Tada! 90 degrees again.

    this is a really nice and clean tutorial! thank you so much! I have some questions. What fabrics do you recommned? I'm sure something stratchy wouldn do too good with the spinning. :D I bought a dapo star years ago. It was hand made but i think ive got scammed. Its soooo heavy and thick - the edges are ugly, used two separete fabric not one piece covering the edges nicely and i needed to sewn it myself a little bit but im still not satisfied...thats why search for a tutorial and im planning to make a new by myself.
