Hm. No. I don't see it. I DO see a lot of CGI going on. I can't drive CGI, though, nor can anyone else. The other thing clearly visible that also hasn't happened yet are the mile-high stacks of product liability suits. Consider: This is an aircraft. It's going to be sold and operated alongside such nonsense as dual-stack pickups that "roll coal", "ricers" that follow the "more money than sense" precepts, high school kids with parents with zero sense and piles of cash, and so on. There are plenty of reasons why planes don't drive on roads, and probably ten times that for why you don't want "typical" drivers getting their mitts on anything of this sort. Although this could well spawn an entire new category on YT: "20 MOST EPIC FLYING CAR FAILS", etc, blah. If this is going to ever happen, it'll happen because ONE company looked at the necessary support infrastructure FIRST and acted on that, instead of promises, nonsense, propaganda, and other forms of specious BS.

Shutting off a well-running engine mid-flight sounds like a really good way to make an unscheduled/unpowered emergency landing when it doesn't start back up for some reason.
