when you are junior, you spend 95% of your time coding and 5% doing other IT stuff. When you are senior, you spend about 15% coding and the rest on other IT stuff ( planning, system design, problem solving, optimization, meeting, code review...) So actually, a senior may not remember syntaxes as good as a junior, but they are way better at creating optimal programs.
