I like the beginning and end -- (in short) -- go to a top 10 school for CS (like CM), and you'll get a dozen interviews for every 100+ applications. Noted. :)
LOL yeah unfortunately school plays a decent role in getting interviews and people can't really change where they go to school. Although I will say I don't think my resume was strong at all outside of school, I had no work experience and all that was on my resume was projects
@@miso-techI think the issue is that a lot of devs think the reason they can't beat top school students is because you're at a prestige school, but they're overlooking the 3.8 GPA you had. You wouldn't have found much placement in high tier companies if that GPA was at a 2.2 instead. FAANG recruits S/E all around the world, even in 3rd world countries with bad education levels so the movement of, "You only get in if your school is good" isn't specifically true.
