Anyway to bypass the tire pressure sensor from preventing steering from working?

chk the tire pressure sensors first....i had a bad one on driver side tire and the service power steering light come on along with the advanced tracking and was very hard to steer .....free fix at discount tire cus of the warranty and my power steering is working again

All I did was remove the a/c compressor completely and it gave me enough room to take the alternator out the same way the a/c compressor came out all from underneath

My 2012 focus all of a sudden lost complete power steering it came up on the screen Steering Assist Fault Service Required so I limp it home and put my fixed code scanner on it and do a scan and get all of this which one of the codes has always been there the one that says (Pats) Key b10d7 but all the rest of the codes here are new, 1. B00C5 2. B00b5 3. B0052 4. B0050 5. B0028 6. B0020 7. U0154 please help I have googled it and CZcamsd it asked everyone I know and nothing no body knows, I do have tire pressure sensor on my car but not had a problem with it no code or flashing light for it and we have checked the rack and the boots on the ends are all in great shape no tares or damage it does not appear that any water could be causing the problem it was not raining nor had it been it was a nice warm dry day this just happened while pulling in to a parking lot of a service station please help any information at all. When you get a power steering assist fault what I did was shut the car off , remove key from ignition, open the drivers side door, put key back in, start car, fault goes away!

May I ask why u have too remove the bottom cover and take the clips off the AC compressor it doesn't seem in anyway too be connected too the alternator

Do you know anything about properly filling this LDZ transmission with fluid? I read there is a TSB about filling it through the backup light switch? when I went to drain mine and fill it from the fill plug on passenger side I wasn't able to get the full 2.0L of fluid in there. Now there is a slight humming sound coming from the trans at around 40mph. Is there a trick to getting the full amount of fluid in there?

Have a 2019 Fusion with this issue. RIGHT after having a tire place put on new tires and fixed the TPMS. :/ HAS to be related to that, as on the way home from the tire place I lost power steering, and it was working just fine before.

To all watching this video im no mechanic but our serpentine belt went and the car broke down. After buying a new one and figuring out the diagram and installing it we had trouble figuring out the diagram the battery died and since power steering has been out. People have been saying rack is bad but how unlucky could we possibly be? Lol like we literally started the car after replacing the serpentine belt and had this problem. Its crazy that a wheel sensor can cause so much complications smh. I feel bad for those thinking its their rack ($2k) when it can be a sensor smh horrible.

So I have those same codes and traction control light comes on after driving more than 1 mile at 55mph or faster. I have changed vacuum pump, brake booster, hose from brake booster and o-ring between master cylinder and brake booster. No resolve. Ideas?

Still relevant. Sudden "steering loss, stop safely" out of nowhere. I was about to call for an appointment after checking the wiring and the fuses. Glad I saw the message at the end. I've been getting the tire monitor error since I changed back to my winter tires and figured I would get the faulty module replaced in the spring when I swapped back. (the tires are fine, its just a bad sensor) Never thought the two could be related. Battery's unplugged now, fingers are crossed.

Thanks for making this video. I just finished and wanted to point out that on my job (2016 Cherokee Trailhawk) there is absolutely no way to get the alternator out without dropping the engine down on the right side by removing the motor mount bolts and having a jack under the oil pan. Even then it barely has enough room. Luckily the replacement alternator was a tad smaller than the stock one so it went in easier. Also, It helped a lot to remove the radiator bolts and angle the top of the radiator towards the front of the car by a few inches. This allowed me to actually get the top alternator bolts from the top without specialty tools. All in this was about a 7 hour job for me and I have a lift and experience working on cars. Not for the faint of heart.

Fook , Normally I would just go trade it in .But intercessor so damn high right now.

To all having this issue, please file a complaint for this to NHTSA so they can put a recall on this issue.

such BS! two different modules that have nothing to do with each other! are you a certified mechanic even? there's/was actually a recall on this issue, a TSB that knocked Ford motors company back millions of dollars, and you think you come up here and post something like this to give people false hope and make views!

People should be aware that both clutch forks are completely lowered or disengaged before banging on the clutch. And after the lock rings are out... one can heighten or engage Clutch B, which likely will pop the clutch disk off the drive shafts OR one could tip the transmission over onto a hard surface, dropping one side from 6 inches up, and when it lands flat the clutch will have likely fallen off onto the integrated bolts that the flywheel attaches to. Also, be sure to clean up and carefully inspect and ensure all 6 bearings on each fork move good before re-assembly. And don't forget to manually test (which also unlocks) the clutch and forks after the lock rings are back on. Cheers.

Did not work for me just had my rack and pinion changed power steering work for a minute then go out. I have to get my sensors scan new ones.
