Hello! I have an AU-919 and connected two pairs of speakers, one pair of Focals rated 8 ohms and the other was Jamo Cornet IV at 6 ohms. This didn't blow the amplifier but after watching this video, I will no longer experiment. Would love to know wether it's OK or not to have both ov them connected.

I have had a pair of LS909 for many years and recently acquired a pair of LS990 - which are the same except for cosmetic differences. I am listening to them stacked with the upper ones inverted (like stacked Advents) using a pair Kenwood L07M monoblocks and the matching L07C preamplifier to drive them Very powerful and impressive. Are they the best speakers ever - no, but they are great fun and very dynamic. i highly recommend them.

Vielen Dank für dieses Video. Ich habe einen SONY TA-F808ES, frisch revidiert. Klingt sehr schön. Nun bin ich zufällig an den AKAI AM-93 gekommen. Eigentlich zum Weiterverkauf angeschafft. Ich wollte nur kurz kontrollieren ob alles funktioniert. Und dann bin ich vom Sofa gefallen. So ein fantastischer Sound. Viel voller und präziser als der Sony. Beide bleiben, aber der AKAI läuft in 95% der Fälle, der Sony nur noch selten. Ich kann eine sehr eindeutige Empfehlung für den AKAI aussprechen. Wenn ihr einen findet sollte ihn sofort kaufen. Gruß aus NRW

Folks, they're just DUST COVERS!!! The diaphragm is underneath, and isn't effected at all. If it was, you'd hear it in an obvious fashion. I can always tell the IGNORANCE of person who gets all upset over a crushed DUST COVER. 🤣 🇺🇸

Both sound pretty bad. I will say that, lower end speakers are less revealing than higher end speakers. The Cantons will obviously sound better with mid fi gear. However, I would take the B&W's because I know how they would sound with the right gear.

If I'm not mistaken, the woofers on these have a 14" cone. I have a pair needing restoration and missing the grilles. When they are done, they'll be better than new.

Will you get better sound using 4 speakers and 2 subs than 2 speakers and 1 sub?

I have very sensitive ears and a wide range i can hear. The IQ made my ears bleed... Very painful... Im listening thru a Marantz and vntage Boston VR series speakers.

The speakers reach 40Hz - more than enough bass with Naim Nait 3 amplifier . Still need to be pushed with the amplifier to deliver - above 60db . At low volume there is obviously no bass.
