A pair of USED speakers selling for brand new prices for each speaker. A good hifi shop sells used speakers under a blanket price for the pair, less than the original price. Especially if the speakers are years old.
Andrew happy New Year. Nice video you should visit and film more Hi-Fi stores. Anyways: For the cosmetics alone all the ' damaged / stained / discolored speakers are WAY to expensive. I at first thought the prices were per pair..? If i was this stores owner or manager or franchiser, I would get a new carpet or have it cleaned at least, dust my offerings daily, clean displays and get some paint or renovate it. What a dirty filthy store..??!!
Pretty disappointing what you discovered about the Magnat Quantum 1005. I know they are not the 1009 but should somehow come a bit close to them… Your Heco still the benchmark and not easy to beat them if you stay in the same price range.. I know Correct in Rotterdam, my dad bought his Heco Victa Prime there. Step in model but what you get for only 380 euro a pair is amazing.
Those magnat speakers have been dropped, I know that type of damage anywhere. I would not be surprised if some component inside them has been damaged, which may affecting the sound.
Good day Sir, i have a question , recently i just buy a Dynaudio audience 72 (for 300euros Used) what can you say about them, compared to the HECO the NEW STATEMENT ? :)
Audience 72 are excellent I have a set as well as the upgraded contour 1.8mkii very engaging and lively. You have made a good purchase at a good price.
In the past I had tested the Kef Q11. A speaker from 2002, 105cm and only 18 kilo. The flagship of the Q serie. Not sure about the new price but many didn't understand my review because I didn't liked them, not the sound not the building quality, the same cheap plastic layer. There are good kef's, that r11 in this video is from good building quality 5cm taller as the heco's but 6 kilo lighter. they costed 5000 the pair , now last models 4000 the pair.
@@vintagestereo I thought the KEF IQ50's were great for the price, butget audiophile speakers, mild sound though. Liked the rounded back I thought with real fineer I think they cheaped out on the new series. Did not have that many KEF's only the vintage kef carlton 3 that you had aswell I think. They do made High end speakers like the blade aswell. But better keep it vintage, for even 100 euro you can get something good enough.
@tikkiu7345 Yes, I have the DM2A and DM4 great quality including the cabinet and crossover. Not the best speakers in the world, you like or you hate them. But for the price, real good and super vintage.
die klipsch daar is een van de beste speakers op de markt, maar ze zijn zeldzaam. volgens kenners de beste mid geluid (stemmen) wat er is. in vele bladen staan die klipsch speaker erg hoog kwa punten , en zitten ze tussen speakers van gemiddeld 30000 euro. deze klipsch was gebouwd om te concurreren me de dure B&W speakers, echter is klipsch er snel mee gestopt want er zaten erg dure drivers en er zat geen winst in

I do not quite understand why a seller wants to price speakers per one piece. Nobody
buys just one speaker (is not even possible) Why oh why?
I think because it looks cheaper. If you buy a new car you only see the price without all the extras like metalic paint, delivery costs etc etc

I also had those dynaudio. Dynaudio make very good speakers but these are the entree level, I didn't liked them
