Joe Patroni, best character George Kennedy ever played
"Hessssssss deaaaaaaaaaad"
how does a relative unknown, bizet, get 3rd billing over kennedy, hayes, heflin...or even della street?
I love the theme music. I like listening to it on the loop if something very challenging is going on in my life, and it seems to help. This music creates detachment from the 'horror' and lifts us above it.
That flame thrower thing must have been experimental or something. I have never seen them in my career.
Apparently Petroni taught Chick Norris everything he knows.
Excellent.
Finde ich super Film ❤❤❤
Cooler than cool.
Get them Dino
A great musical artist who sadly died too young
When I first watched the film the soundtrack took over me. It was so powerful and translated that thriller so perfectly. Ellis' music is the heartbeat of The French Connection.
I read somewhere that Todd Rundgren also contributed to this film's music score. Is that true ? Terrific, eerie mood music, particularly during the opening credits.
What a great video. Thank you and I played a lot of his music throughout the years back then and studied with Broiles as did Don. .
Baltimore in a bygone era. Nice footage of the erstwhile Bethlehem Steel Plant as well as the former Key Bridge - as they flew beneath it! I have been to Mount Vernon so many times - where Pacino ran around, trying to deal with the incident from the previous night. Regarding Federal Hill - you can see the view from it before the Aquarium was built. Have always liked this soundtrack - interesting jazz/disco fusion with a tinge of melancholy. Pacino is raw and emotive here. One of my favorite movies too. Interesting movie with so many great actors and performances and a powerful message as well. BTW the link to the Dave Grusin documentary has expired.
This is a masterpiece
This film should remastered on put out in 4k bluray with extras not like the shifty bluray we have now.
この映画メチャクチャ良かった!
And the movie is phenomenal also
I totally agree. This song is one of my favorites.
プレスは買ったがみてない😢
This film showed examples of character aspects of the World War two generation. As they started dying is the same time that the society started going down the drain.

A piece that is just beautiful
Send shivers up my spine...sad ending...😢
Beautiful man. Beautiful music.

Back when TV shows were GOOD and had REAL music!!!
You're not wrong!!!
Pat Williams GREAT music, Good story line and plots, Good acting, Great guest stars, Always filmed on location NEVER in a Back-Lot Studio is why this show was and STILL is so Good.
A Quinn Martin Production
I never thought I would see Burt Reynolds be this violent in this movie but I like this movie I have it on DVD and I watch it a couple times a week but I like Smokey and the band that one and two I was in smoking the Bandit one and two then I got paid $100 a day for two weeks and I didn't even know who Burt Reynolds was and Sally Field stole that blue shirt that she's wearing and smoking in the Bandit one and it's blue she stole it from me and she has a nasty smell
Tenia tiempo..de no ver una pelicula que no hablara de sexo, lesbianas y homosexuales.
As Mel Brooks once said...."Wow! What a dramatic airport!!"
Is it just me or do a few of these cues remind anyone of Jerry Goldsmith’s score for ALIEN?
Great films! Especially #1 and #2. However, there is one even more iconic "Airport" movie: "Die Hard 2"(1990). THE ULTIMATE AIRPORT MOVIE EVER!!!
in my top 5 of favorite movies and to me, this was Pacino's best film
This is the perfect noir soundtrack, whimsical and dark at the same time. 🖤🤍🖤
What I like about this movie is it helped inspire Airport! the movie!

One of a few true legends sad how a man can be ridiculed for doing right. It only confirms the type of world we all live in people will hate and even kill you for doing the right thing and defending others. 😢God bless us all.

love this film...but opening scenes with a blue sky and snow dont make sense...they needed a white filter on the sky to make it look white.....good artificial snow for removal though. They had bad luck during filming because it was just not snowing
1 of my favourites
I flew for the first time in 2006 when I went to London and I got hooked on watching this movie for like six months prior to leaving. Of all the airport/airplane travel movies to watch and I chose this one. I love this movie and just couldn’t help it. To this day I love airports. I think I could live in one bc honestly they have everything you need and I love airplanes so I would be content
I first saw this at Radio City Music hall as a 15 year-old. I watched it again in college, multiple times on TV or at revival houses in the years that followed & last year on streaming. Hands down still the greatest all-star disaster film ever made. When the title comes flying at you on the screen to the blasting horn music of the sensational Alfred Newman score, you know you're in for a major thrill ride.
