I was reading her book Prey and the same week two young women were surrounded and beaten by a group of ten men in Halifax. No Canadian news wanted to publish where they were from, but the Daily Mail did. She writes about this kind of aggression towards woman and worse is a normal thing in Europe and in some neighbourhoods are now impossible to police, but in Canada it still seems unusual. Would it happen in the US since they are not as pacifist in their culture?
