The problem is you see this in black and white terms. You think that if Hamas is evil that Israel is good. You think that if some one supports Palestine they must support Hamas. If some one critize Israel they must be antisemitic.
Sadly we don't live in a black and white world.
Hamas is evil and needs to go. Which most Pro-Palestine will agree with. This is only one part of a complex equation. Eliminating Hamas will not make all the other problems go away. The problems between Israel and the Palestine predate Hamas. In fact Hamas exist because of the problems between Israel and the Palestine.
For 56+ years Israel had been brutalizing and oppressing the Palestine people. This is as equally wrong as the things Hamas does. Both are inexcusable. The hate and anger is not all one sided.
Taking Hamas only Eliminates one part of the equation and is a temporary fix at best. If the brutalization and oppression of the Palestine people doesn't end you will just end up with another extreme and violent group that will take its place.
Furthermore just because people support Palestine doesn't mean they support Hamas. Most of the protesters including myself don't agree wirh Hamas actions on Oct 7th. That Hamas needs to go just not in the way Israel is going about it.
Even more to the point. I believe the PLA and the PLO need to go. These groups were born out of resistance and oppression and brutalizaiom. They don't have the best interest of the Palestine people at heart.
