One step at a time. :) Ex. When we put weight on the bar when we workout we have to do it 1-5 pounds at a time. If we change to much if we put to much weight to fast we will get hurt. So if we change more than we can carry throughout our everyday lives. We will get hurt. Spiritually. And start from step 1 just as if we got injured and were out the gym for 6 months. That progress was lost. And we must take it 1 step at a time again. I need to do better at this. I struggle im human. But i know the Lord is faithful even when im unfaithful at times. Praise God

While we cannot condone the pastors remarks from the Pulpit. Nor can we comment on the relationship. He doesn't sound fit with the evidence we have to remain as a pastor. that being said....She clearly chose to kill herself. She is on record purchasing the firearms for herself and making the call to 911. Why are people trying to put this on the pastor? While he sounds like a potential Narcissistic abuser. We do not know for certain what was occurring inside of that home. A few snippets of a pastor out of context or in context cannot be used to judge the whole.

Honestly, I see both sides before you condemn me in the comment section hear me out. Do I think it's pleasant seeing someone cuss in church, especially the preacher, no. However, especially with the message being given it is meant to get your attention. He says "Some of you will be more concerned than I said s--- then you are about the people going to hell." and he's right. The lost sees the church full of Pharisees who are judgemental of others and expect perfection and they're not wrong. The lost who do not hate Jesus because of the callousness they have seen from these types of Christians do not think they can ever achieve perfection and so they do not come to Jesus because they feel they will never be perfect and they won't be, neither will any of you reading this and if you think that not saying cuss words will get you into Heaven then I'm sorry to tell you are wrong. When we stand before Jesus and he asks us, why should I let you enter, if your answer is anything other than "You shouldn't, I am not worthy but because your blood was shed on the cross for my sins I am allowed to spend eternity with my Savior.". Christians, focus less on perfection and more on the lost. Hello my brother in Christ. I wanted to gently come to you and express that your opinions on our fellow brother are opinions that I believe to be misguided. You have placed a modern understanding of expletive and pasted it inappropriately over several verses in the Bible. Ephesians 5:4 is indeed a wonderful test of how a Christian should keep his/her tongue but I ask you, where did he express an obscene story or speak foolishly? Where did he tell a course joke? Historically, the term cussing or cursing, comes from the Middle Ages when Christians would inappropriately use the name of God to curse someone or something. This essentially boils God down to a simple patron of witchcraft which is why it was considered so sinful. This is how curses such as "May God damn you to hell" were shortened to phrases such as "d*mn you" or "d*mmit." The term, swearing, comes from frivolously making an oath in the name of God. As an example, in the Middle Ages, they might say, "by God's beard, I will catch a fish today." This is obviously sinful as it's a frivolous and baseless use of the Lord's name. You may notice that these two practices have something in common. They are both instances of taking the name of God in vain in a variety of ways. The pastor in this video did NOT do this. He certainly used a cultural expletive and perhaps there is a discussion we could have about how it's wrong to purposefully offend someone needlessly but holding him to Scripture that is obviously not addressing what he did is bad hermeneutics and frankly, bad form if the above information is something you already knew. I believe you also make the common mistake that many of our brothers and sisters make when you say that "Jesus taught with patience and love." This was certainly not always true. Let me clarify… I do believe he always had love in his heart to everyone that he preached to but his method of preaching could often dip into harsh and, dare I say it, culturally vulgar. In Matthew 23:33, Jesus refers to the Pharisees as a "brood of vipers." This was actually a fairly common turn of phrase and was deemed quite offensive and even vulgar in ancient Jerusalem. This is suspected to be because the term is linked to Jeremiah 46:22 And if that is the case, it compares them directly to their ancient oppressors, Egypt. Needless to say, this is highly offensive language. Furthermore, the apostle Paul can be argued to use the exact same word that this pastor used in 1 Corinthians 4:13. When discussing how evil we still are. While you can possibly make an argument that this word is somewhat benign like poop, Greek linguists have certainly concluded that when it is made plural, it is most certainly to excite shock value or be made an expletive. Philippians 3:8 Is the plural usage and we have quite a lot of evidence to support that this is very strong language. One of which is its use from Josephus (Josephus, Jewish War 5.571). Another is from Starbo (Strabo, Geography 14.1.37) and I could go on. Dr. Daniel B Wallace of Dallas theological seminary leaves no doubt here and informs us that lease benign, it means crap but seems to more reflect the word used by the pastor in your video. Most Christians are very uninformed about the history of expletives and even expletives used in Scripture. I don't believe that you intentionally went after this pastor in bad faith my brother. I understand that the desire of your heart is to have us act in a way that Christ would want us to act and that desire is certainly a good one. It is certainly important for a Christian to have control over their tongue but this must be done with proper hermeneutics and expectation of what the authors intended. I think the apostle Paul phrases it best here: Ephesians 4:29: "Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouth but only what is helpful for building others up, according to their needs, that it will benefit those who listen." Unwholesome talk, according to Scripture, is talk that tear someone down over building them up which is why I am convinced that there is a massive difference between saying to someone, "d*mn you to hell," and telling someone, "I hope you have a d*mn good day." With all the love and respect, my brother in Christ. I know that you do not like these words so I hope my censorship of them is enough for you to read and understand my point. First off, what the heck is with a men's conference with that kind of stuff as entertainment? I'm not sure if I'd call the act "evil" or anything I guess. It might be entertaining in a certain context, but at a church men's conference? Just, no. It's a pathetic attempt to be "cool" and try to get men back in church using worldly tactics. And it just comes off as really cringy. No man that I know would think any of that crap was cool in any way. It reminds me of when "The Power Team" - (a bunch of roided out buff guys), came to my high school and told us to stay away from drugs... or something like that (I don't remember their exact message, I just remember they were lame.) Secondly, Mark Driscoll... At first, I thought wow, he's right to call them out. Good on him. But then I started to hear more context, like, he knew ahead of time what the acts were going to be and didn't protest until he went up on stage. Now to hear he is coming up with a book on "The Jezebel Spirit" (whatever that is... from what I can tell it seems to be some made up thing that some Christians say.) It seems Mark is still acting in the same old ways - self promotion and controversy for the sake of fame. This behavior is not at all new. Basically, this is an example of the worst of American Capitalist Churchianity. Blech. Good video, anyway. If Christ wills it, I hope your channel gets big!
