I traveled with an AG Evangelist for two years (where I met my wife) and Pastored in the AG for 18 months. Though I honor it, the Holy Spirit made it clear that wasn’t our route. He has us plugged up with Nondenominational Churches now that have less of a religious spirit attached (our area specifically). Very sad message with people we know personally that attend one of their campuses and are disgusted by it all as well. Some people are too “big” to be wrong
Lindell' s right on one thing. We ALL have a past, you, me, a sinful past...and that's where it should stay, in the past, not the present and in the House of God.

I agree what John the Baptist said “show by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. I would say John Lindell has done great things for the Kingdom but this situation seems to have surfaced some junk. He recently fired an employee and tried to make him sign an NDA since he spoke out against the Pastor and his actions. Sad sad 😞
Keep in mind I attend Trinity church in Scottsdale. The home of mark Driscoll. The only thing we’ve heard from his regarding the situation is during real men’s on Wednesday when he simply said. I’ve been in the news a bit and it’s been a rough week.

This was a big enough situation that all the facts should have been doublechecked before airing a story that catered to his defense. Has to do better next time with the scale of this ministry. God’s people need transparency and are there to worship Him alone.
What disturbed me the most is when Lindell called out his supporters to stop supporting him. He wanted to destroy him. The whole takedown message by Lindell to his church was ugly not not in a Christian tone.
Having a shirtless man ascending and descending a pole was far from appropriate for a Christian gathering. But credit to Alex for clarifying some things about himself. He did well to do that. Let's pray for him and his wife and wider family. Too much sensuality in too many 'christian' circles these days, as well as dishonesty.

Just also please keep this in mind: Acts 7:47-49 “Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?” The building and gathering of that conference was not God’s house.

First off, what the heck is with a men's conference with that kind of stuff as entertainment? I'm not sure if I'd call the act "evil" or anything I guess. It might be entertaining in a certain context, but at a church men's conference? Just, no. It's a pathetic attempt to be "cool" and try to get men back in church using worldly tactics. And it just comes off as really cringy. No man that I know would think any of that crap was cool in any way. It reminds me of when "The Power Team" - (a bunch of roided out buff guys), came to my high school and told us to stay away from drugs... or something like that (I don't remember their exact message, I just remember they were lame.) Secondly, Mark Driscoll... At first, I thought wow, he's right to call them out. Good on him. But then I started to hear more context, like, he knew ahead of time what the acts were going to be and didn't protest until he went up on stage. Now to hear he is coming up with a book on "The Jezebel Spirit" (whatever that is... from what I can tell it seems to be some made up thing that some Christians say.) It seems Mark is still acting in the same old ways - self promotion and controversy for the sake of fame. This behavior is not at all new. Basically, this is an example of the worst of American Capitalist Churchianity. Blech. Good video, anyway. If Christ wills it, I hope your channel gets big!

I’m going to stick to being faithful to what He calls me to and He can do whatever He wants with the channel 😊 I actually stopped posting 2 years ago because I enjoy living a quiet life and I never wanted to “blow up” and become well known. 2 years later I felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to do what He called me to do. I feel it’s selfish of me to limit God just because I don’t want to “blow up”. I’m thankful for His grace! I agree there is no place for this kind of entertainment in the House of God. Seemed like a leadership mistake. People just want His Presence and don’t need all the fluff. Neither man is fully in the right with both displaying lack of character in the whole feud. Both have had controversial moments in the past and have gotten nation attention. I pray we all just get back to the feet of Jesus! Hey, God bless you! I really appreciate all your kind words!

Most people shouldn’t strive to be super public “Christian celebrities”. The things they do are out there for everyone to discuss!

Amen! I have a heart to discuss and bring clarity to situations. I think we’ve been taught to “not talk about the Lord’s anointed”. Which Pastors have sometimes used to twist and manipulate. I think it’s “off” to call yourself the Lord’s anointed just because you lead a Church when biblically Apostles and Prophets are mentioned way more. I believe leaders in Church should be held accountable just as Paul addressed them. It’s good and healthy to take facts and talk through them with the Bible 🏆

As some one who grew up Assemblies of God ( same as James River Church) Lindell's message, arrogance, and lies are a gross display of ego.
