One pair of shoes is not practical. Walking shoes, dinner/outing shoes and sandals for beach/boat or general walking is far better than one pair of shoes. You can wear one pair during travel - but there is need for other shoes.

Have you tried the Timeshifter ap? It was helpful for avoiding jetlag on our most recent trip to Europe. Appreciate your middle-section aisle suggestion. I used to take the window, now take the aisle because getting stuck for hours on end is awful.

We are travelling to Greece (from U.S.), and want to bring about 9500 dollars in cash with us. Can we keep the cash (and passports) on us in our pants pockets when going through security or customs? YES! To Briggs & Riley. Well built, well sized, incredible warranty I have had to use a few times. The only problem is if you want to use as carry on for flights with carry on weight limits, they run a little bit heavier than some other brands like Samsonite. NO! No! No! To Tumi! Nice bag, but warranty is NOT honored. Had one for just over a year and the handle broke. Tumi said their warranty didn’t cover the handle - Huh? Wife’s Tumi bag had a problem with the wheel 6 months later and again, no warranty coverage. They claim an all inclusive warranty but it is not honored. Threw the Tumi bags away.

This type of packing is fine for a really cheap trip. If you stay in nice hotels and go out to nice restaurants you pack completely different.

These bags are all too heavy. When every ounce counts, half your allowable weight being in the bag itself, is too much for those looking for carry on only.

I'm intrigued. How do you get to witness all those people's packing mistakes ? Ars you there when they pack ?

Ladies, do not wear leggings in Europe, and bring some daily dress for Paris. Paris is windy and cool during summer; you will need a windbreaker or something.

If you really want to know how people are dressing in other countries, watch "walk through ( insert city here ) in ( insert date ). There are tons of them on CZcams, and you can see what people are currently wearing. It helped me realize that what I wear while traveling wasn't actually that big of a deal. It did help me dress for the climate though, lol. Bonus: helps find nice places to visit, too.

#no 1 tip for finding cheap flights is to go look for cheap flights.

I disagree with your suggestion of 1 pair of shoes. I went to Germany with one pair and it rained just about everyday I was there. The shoes got wet and then wouldn’t dry. I was miserable. Since then I always take two so I can rotate them.

I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. A few months ago I spent 5 weeks on the road (train) in Italy, France and Switzerland. You videos really made the trip trekking across Europe as a single 76 year old man enjoyable. BUT, yes that inevitable BUT NOT BUTT. Sleeping on the aircraft. The reason I do not sleep in a sitting position is that I snore. I do not want to be that decrepit old man snoring disturbing everyone. I can not find any assistance on line. Suggestions? Thank you.

For me it’s - no short shorts- why would you want your skin on those gross seats? And open toed shoes. No one wants to look at your feet for hours, plus airplanes are not clean and why risk injury. Not a good idea in case you need to evacuate the plane on the ground. Good tip to mention how dehydrating flights are.
