I've had Nomadic wallets and wish it had options of materials like a ridge wallet but with the same card mechanism. 2 plates with elastic side joints with the same pull tab mechanism.

    Hi Nik,
I’ve been using the Buffway Slim Minimalist Wallet for about 4.5 years and it’s been great. Very thin and comfortable. About $15 on Amazon.

The Ridge is my favorite front pocket wallet and my daily carry because it has a low profile and sleek build. There are no mechanisms to fan out your cards and I personally like the simplicity of it. The wallet leans into the minimalist feel, so it’s definitely more suited for those who run fewer cards. The elastic does start out pretty tight, but it loosens up over time. I also like that the company sells replacement elastic so you can replace the elastic instead of the entire wallet (although I wouldn’t mind getting multiple designs).

I used a Polari Functional when we went to Italy. It’s a bifold. Holds a passport so not too small. Holds euros well and 3-4 credit cards the leather is soft and has quality. This wallet fit easily into the front pocket of my Kühl Revolvr slacks.
    Purchased from Amazon for $27.00.

Never saw elastic that did not give out after a while and then your cards fall out? Have been using an XSTO wallet from Akeeni for about a year. Cast aluminum with carbon fiber flat springs. Easy to fan out the cards and use an RFID blocking card as the top car. Love it. Three thicknesses available depending on how many cards you are going to carry.

The Belroy Slim Sleeve is my day-to-day wallet and has been for about 10 years. I like that it's small enough to keep me from reverting to my old George Costanza ways. The pull tab is great for accessing my insurance cards on those less frequent times I need to get to them. With 4 other credit/debit cards spread between the 2 pockets and a small bit of cash, the leather doesn't really stretch out over time. With more cash or more cards, it could or will. Definitely a nice wallet and I've been very happy with it for years.

a coworker just got the Ridge, and he likes it so far. Me, i've been using brocolli elastics to hold my cards together for decades. ..probably before "front pocket" wallets were a thing.

I considered some of the wallets on this video... And ended with a metallic one from Shein for like $6. It's been great, it protects the cards from scratches and dirt from the pockets, it's slim enough to be comfortable to carry on the front pocket, and it can't be scanned unless you take the cards out. Its design is similar to the aluminum Ekster, with a thing that slides down and pulls out the cards that might feel cheap but it's holding pretty good so far. I have almost a year with it and it was amazing for my trip to Europe. That peace of mind of not having the cards in the back with the bifold wallet for bills is perfect (yes, I have one for the cards and one for the bills and coins, since I'm using the cards more and more)

I've owned my Aluminum version of the Ekster wallet for years now and it's fantastic! Very durable and wears well over time! It's not the easiest to carry cash though, as I've had $100 bills slide around from time to time. Overall it's well worth the price!

Take a look at the Polare Slim Curve Front Pocket Wallet. It is a high quality slim bifold leather wallet with rounded corners designed to go in your front pocket. It comes in many different colors. If you don't overload it, it is slim and does not "print" much in your pocket, so it is not obvious that you have a wallet in your front pocket.
I'm taking this wallet to Europe soon.

I really enjoy your channel Nik and have learned a lot. But I will take (slight) issue about the Ridge. In fairness, I had exactly the same thoughts as you when I first bought it and feared I'd made a terrible (and expensive) mistake. Then I started using it. And I love it. I wouldn't be without it now.

Did you ever get a chance to try the Alpaka Ark Bifold? I don't like the idea of using leather but I liked Bellroy's features. This was essentially an X-PAC version of the same wallet! Very different style for sure, but still sleek enough for anything that isn't stuffy business formal.

You must carry your ID and insurance cards separately. I have a wallet that does need to be "thinned out" from time to time but it holds everything but change (credit cards, cash, ID and insurance.). I can stuff receipts and extra cash in it but try to keep it thin enough for a small zip pocket.

Personally, I'm big on not having to remove my ID if it has to be checked. It's an Amazon brand, but Buffway makes an excellent slim wallet. I've been using a "carbon fiber" brown "leather" for the last 5 or so years and it's been excellent. The only con is that if my ID needs to be scanned, it can be difficult to remove. I like the Ekster Senate, but I've read it has issues with metal cards, and I won't spend ~$80 on a wallet that can't hold onto my most used card. Not sure if that's applicable to you, Nick, but if so could you speak to that (I imagine it's the same for the Parliament, as it's mechanism related)?

My number one complaint with all these slim wallets is this: They are too skinny for the Euro Paper money, which is wider than the US Dollar. I just travelled to Poland (Zloty), Hungary (Forint), Czechia (Koruna) and Vienna (Euro) and all these paper currencies are wider than the US Dollar. I couldn't help but notice that the Travando wallet from Nuremberg was the widest, probably because they were thinking of the Euro when they designed it.
