Little bit of both plus his talent and utility as a guitar player. He's been doing this for many years so he's built a big following and the bands he covers are huge (BMTH, Lorna, Architects etc.) but lots of people cover those bands. Nik has a fun personality and he is a really good guitarist. So he's makes videos about what those bands do and actually plays the guitar parts. So he's really the perfect content creator. An entertaining expert. I really wish I had more time so I could incorporate more guitar into my content as well. I really think my band analysis would be so much better with guitar examples too. But your boy has four jobs so I have to work with the time I have.

Dear friend Jon, i want your opinion on this, i am Metallica fan since 2003, i went on their concerts wherever i can in Europe, what i think that for me every album except lulu (witch is totally fail) has unique vibe, instead playing same music for 40 years like Slayer, i am totally support different approach and trying to experiment, even st anger have awful sound of snar on that drums, but that album played live is headbanger brothers, for example frantic live is like thunder! Master and Black album mby are peak of heavy sound and themes on songs, but new album 72 seasons live....mad that is some heavy sh*t, i think they still got it, and i like harmonies on that album, i cant compare old with new but i know one think, that live they have heaviest sound in universe! that is my subjective humble opinion

Are you kidding me? Burtontallica = a lot of headbanging. Justice... Had some very nice tunes, respectable. Black album = oh great now the mainstream chicks like it and I'm not too cool with that. Load + reload = Side project with people who happens to also be in metallica, has some very nice tracks, it's just not thrash. St Anger. It will grow on you if you let it. From there on out, I lost interest. Star wars... Prequals were too much CGI all over the place, dialog written by an autist who doesn't understand human interaction, but dude, he seems to have the heart in the right place, he just needs help (Marcia Lucas) Disney wars. A friend of mine liked TFA, so I held up my keys and shook them. Oh look it makes noise and it sparkles, aren't you entertained now? I have a hard time choosing between album 2, 3, and 4. Don't get me wrong, Kill 'em All is awesome, but I listen to the other three more. That's my trilogy. I give the edge to Master of Puppets because it has Disposable Heroes on it. I love that track. I can't get into new Metallica. I've tried but it just always falls apart for me. I want that pure thrash sound. Other bands can do it (listen the the awesome track "True American Hate" by Testament, it's got that old Bay Area sound, but feels modern too). I wish Metallica would do the same. I know they have a few heavy tracks, they start out pretty cool but then don't punch just right.

Yea I definitely listen to Kill Em All the least. But I think that's also a good comparison because to me A New Hope aged the worst in the OG Star Wars trilogy too.
