'Fun' fact: I'm from Denmark, so I wanna mention the fact, that one of the tracks on the new Brodequin album, namely 'Vredens Dag', is named after and based around a very famous Danish film (about witch trials) of the same name from 1947, directed by Carl Th. Dreyer.. a fact that goes well with the cool cover artwork, which is my personal 'Album Art of the Week'... 🤗

Inner Sanctum - THE GREAT ODD ONES truly is amazing. Was mixed and mastered by the guy who did Necrophagist‘s Epitaph! You should give it a listen! There is a video for the song Abgott Death Kult on CZcams.

@@heavymetalphilosophy nothing but singles is gonna happen anytime soon, I am afraid. As much as I want to make an LP, nowadays’ listeners are rather lazy and consume music only if it served to them on the plate with a certain degree of consistency. That way “single-after-single-after-single” is pretty much the only scheme if you want to stay relevant, especially as a band who is by default in one of the world’s worst locations to start up. That is rather a philosophical topic, though.
@@heavymetalphilosophy point is, making an LP is a time consuming thing and with any sort of symphonic metal it’s a 2 to 10 years time. If a band makes a pause for such time in modern world, people will just forget it even exists

Kind of hard for me to listen to anything but Aborted and Vltimas this week, but I did manage to catch some others, namely that Brodequin and Keygen Church. It's cool you spotted them too. Keygen Church is also Master Boot Record. It's the same guy writing everything. Their music reminds of scene demos released by warez groups. It's all midi-synth combined with Bach and metal. My favorite track by them is "IRQ 0 System Clock," makes me feel like I'm hacking the Matrix or something. I can hear Morpheus . . . "He is the One!" haha

@heavymetalphilosophy crazy that they've been putting out albums as long as I've been alive, I only got into them a couple years ago but they quickly rose to my number 2 spot (after Opeth) and I guess I had pretty good timing, with their comeback album and now finally hopping the pond
