My name is Mark and I am a graphic designer and photographer by trade, but one of my favorite hobbies is getting out into my shop and building or fixing things. I decided to start this channel because I have often gone online looking for ways to build something, only to come up empty and deciding to figure it out on my own. I am hoping that through my trial and error I can provide others with ideas or inspiration to create their own custom projects.
I am a very busy person and I like it that way. You’ll never find me just sitting around. If I’m not tinkering on things around my house then I am probably out doing something that I find exciting somewhere in the wilds of Wyoming.

Onefinity Journeyman Wall Mount - Hanging & Running My New CNC Machine
You messed up your own test
I was curious about your vertical mounting results of your CNC? I see in this video it's back to horizontal. What issues were you having to switch it back? Really want that to work for my own small shop space but haven't been too convinced yet that it'd actually work out as a permanent solution.
Annoying intro.
Very nice.
That is unbelievable! How beautiful it turned out! And also I will be using Picasso as a verb from now on.
40-60 psi for resin is more excessive?
I came here to watch Mark fly a drone and stayed to watch Mark fly a drone. You did not disappoint!
Nice!
The sound is sooo much better with the new mic. Can't wait to see the CNC upgrade being done.
Epoxy Countertop Pour is really nice. Looks like real stone. Good job. :)
I'd agree with the others who've said it. That mic was a great investment. Sound is much better!
Awesome, thanks!
Way better audio! Thanks!
Yay, thank you!
Mic is a good purchase. Much much better.
Great!
Looks like some good updates for the shop!! That mic looks like it would work really well, and I’m really trying to come up with excuses to get it lol. I’m excited to see the CNC upgrades as everything comes in!
Me too! Looks like they are just getting ready to ship it now.
In the beginning, you sounded like you were in a well. After you came back with everything connected, you sound really clear. Good sound quality.
Thanks for the report!
I know. I'm old and grumpy and prefer R&B - Eric Clapton, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, and the like-- but YOUR music is just too -- irritating. Maybe you could find something a little less chaotic???
I can’t afford the licensing for any of that kind of stuff. Guess you’ll just have to mute the video when the royalty free music starts.
@@GunflintDesigns I'm sorry your choices are so limited. I wasn't suggesting you go and get MY selections .. just something a little less irritating?
Nicely done!
Thanks!
The mic definitely was way different. When you first switched over, I thought you were doing voice over. I thought that nibbler would be game changing for me too but found it to be very limited in what it can do.
So what was limiting about the nibbler? Just the materials that it could handle, or the two-handed design?
@@GunflintDesigns It was extremely slow when cutting thru sheet metal roofing which is what I use most often. I found that a circular saw worked much quicker and was more accurate than the nibbler, not to mention the plethora of half moon shaped metal shards laying all over the place. I also have used the metal shear attachments that hook up to a drill and have had great success with those. The biggest issue is when hitting the rib portions of the metal roofing but when cutting sheet goods down to length, the milwaukee circular saw is my go-to.
You will love the elite upgrade for your Onefinity!
Can't wait!
Nice haul Mark. I went to the McFarland site, but didn't find the AR holder. Do you have a link to it? - Chris
He runs that under a different brand name. Try this. themacmounts.com/collections/wall-mounts?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaau6ASgjztzZRn2bwEGR6VjCKHEtecpGU5eyhzYq2oKjDhte1D7VtJ-D6I_aem_AYcHxoFttry0glvPKq79EWeI5DpqT6RSJ5k1dLKx0KfKpHWIq9M-UWSOcQOEk4x7Mcb-LVMR4qPKMW3Oupe8MScx
Pretty cool upgrades. What was the mic info. I didn’t see a link for that and it looks/sounds really good
Oh man I knew I forgot something! Thanks for reminding me. This is the mic: amzn.to/3UoCUo5
@@GunflintDesigns thanks!
Awesome stuff, Mark! 😊 The microphone sounds great! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks!
Listening to you on earbuds. You went from the bottom of a metal bucket to inside my head with that mic! Great quality I’d say!
Outstanding. I’m glad to hear it.
remember: WIFE IS ALWAYS RIGHT
Really turned out great!
Thank you!
the mouthbreathers that complain about "expensive" tool use were never going to build it in the first place. having to go outside and ask for free pallet wood is too much for "some people", they also have no critical thinking skills, cant use their brain to substitute to what they have on hand.
Well said!
I’ve been waiting for you to release this video, looks great!
Thanks! Hope it was worth the wait!
Looks great
Thanks!
WOW looks Great!
Thank you!
That turned out incredible! I love that you were able to salvage it, honestly every time I try to "fix" a mistake, it becomes grey or brown ha! You are a true resin wizard !
Just call me the blind squirrel.
Great video! I'm a long-time fan of the Stonecoat channel, I've done a sink top and coffee table top with Stonecoat. Same experience - start out really questionable, but looks awesome in the end. Keep up the good work, I just subscribed to you channel. God bless!
Thank you very much!!
Cool tutorial. Good looking job. Did you put on that finish projector product.
Nope. I talked with Stone Coat and for this upstairs bathroom that just seemed like overkill. That top coat is more for a heavy-use area like a kitchen counter.
That countertop came out great. And by the way, I think your wife was right. I would have waterproofed the MDF before covering it in epoxy. Best wishes from Germany
Thanks 👍
It's great to see you both working on a project together, and it's great to see you weren't killed in the process, Mark lol. That outcome is amazing, and good call on putting a tarp on the floor before the pour.. that could have been a pain to clean up.
When the instructions tell you to let it spill over the edge, you know something messy is going to happen!
Good bloody job buddy
Great to see Katie again!
Isn't it though!?
That came out looking Great
Thanks!
Looks awesome
It does!
Your wife was…is and will always, always be right. I’m sorry.
That's just how it goes.
Great job
Amazing.... Kids durability test after 6 months and years. Thanks
It should handle the wear ant tear of a bathroom just fine, but you can actually buff the surface out if it every gets all scratchy.
@@GunflintDesigns cool
Wow that came out so nice. Usually when I keep messing with stuff, I end up with nothing. Great work.
You and me both!
Great job!
Thanks!
It turned out gorgeous, well done both of you
Thank you!
Could not finish. Since mineral oil is a petroleum product and not an oil that firms a real finish like walnut, did you try same experience with walnut or other oil ? Mineral oil can just leach out and never coalesce into a true finish ? Jack in Idaho
The sad part is all the triggered people about the tools and free scrap pieces to use to build a target are most likely people who will never even try to build one regardless of having the tool or not. The people who are going to actually build something don't stop because they lack the tool needed to do it, they either go buy the tool, or they go buy the target already made. I love watching how-to video's but hate having to listen to them explain to the complainers. It takes away from the professionalism of the how-to video. Feel like I am back n school when the teacher asks if there are any questions and the idiots in class who were talking during the lecture ask a question on something that was just answered/explained. Love the lack of owning a stapler comment =)
Fantastic, Mark! It turned out beautiful! 😃 You guys killed it! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank, you too!
Is it bad that I thought you'd already released this video? Between instagram and the podcast I knew the basic story, but the video was not a waste of time and I'm glad you made it. I like the new format of weekly video journal (since you hate the more commonly accepted term) with a project video every month or two.
Thanks Jason, that is my goal for the new channel formula. Keep working on the long form stuff and get a taste of it in the weekly journals.
Awesome job as always!! And nice to see Katie in there kicking you around. We all know it happens, just nice to see it once and a while.
So true!
My goodness, that epoxy is just unbelievably beautiful, it looked like hard work, but definitely worth it 🎉
Thanks! Honestly the "work" was easy. It was stressful if anything - but having done it once the next one would be a breeze.
