That end, pocket hole comment, was priceless my friend!! I've built close to 100 face frames for kitchen cabinets. And all of them used pocket holes. They all look great, and once the kitchen is installed, no one can tell what was used! Take care.
If you ever move, you're going to want to take those cabinets with you. They look so nice! :)
My thinking is, that room doubles the value of the house. So the cabinets can stay.
If you stay there, fisher is gonna 'borrow' them
Nah he’d just paint over them. 😂
I like your styles! From now on I will take your advice and spread with caution!
I stopped watching your videos for a time because I took a break from woodworking to go to college I am catching up on them. Some people might complain about you having thousands of dollars in tools, but I remember when you had a very modest shop and am very glad you continue to grow.
Well I appreciate you saying that, and welcome back!
Since she's watching, does your sweet grandma read comments too? 'Cause she's clearly the best. Loving the progress here, thanks for the updates.
I don't think she reads comments - but I know my mom does! (hi Mom!) Sometimes she will get defensive on my behalf for comments I didn't even know I had.
How dare you call me out for not liking pocket holes!
I intentionally left your name out of it! You just put the target on your back, buddy.
Brudaddy is sucking up to Mattias I see. ;) I would love to see a pockethole user do a Mattias style hop on the furniture to show pocketholesare super good enough...but at my weight, that aint happening
In my imagination, when you attached the frame to the body, you timed all the brad-nail shots to the beat of "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. It was awesome, well done.
See, you get me! It's like you were there!
Should have used flat head screws in the pocket holes instead. Drew would approve. :)
I don't need Dad's approval!
It must be wrong to enjoy watching someone else working!! Great channel.
That’s the whole reason hgtv exists!
“Spread with caution”😂
Glad someone got it!
Great video Mark!
Thanks!
Really beautiful work, Mark! They're looking amazing! 😃
Thanks a bunch for all the tips!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks!
Looks amazing
I think one of these channels needs to make cabinets with pocket holes on the outside to drive the haters nuts!
Let's see... Pocket holes and I build myself, or.... Big box store prefab piece of junk...
I'll stick with pocket holes.
Lazy is t always a bad thing.
And the end result is still a quality piece that is exactly what you need. Opportunity cost, time value, and all that.
Viva la gunflint
Our brains seem to be pretty well in line.
It is the difference between getting it done and putting it off for a hobbyist at least Pocket holes mean I can tackle it in a timely manner. Fancy joinery means I'll likely never start.
@@GunflintDesigns I'm going to stop by someday and smell your black walnut storage room... Lol
Pocket screws are good, been using them for years
What happened to the crazy guy yelling at the deer
He hasn't been yelling at much lately, but he's still around.
Why waste time on something no one will see pocket holes are efficient and save time. Well done. Looking forward to the next video.
You and I think a lot alike.
If Pocket Holes help make a piece come together, I say why not use them. Nobody will know, unless they examine the piece very carefully. Good job.
bingo!
Pocket holes?! The audacity! Don’t you know that pocket holes ALWAYS make furniture Explode?!?!
If you were a Real woodworker you would have just spent 40 hours meticulously hand-carving blind dovetails so that when people come into your secret man cave to inspect your cabinet joints, they won’t be disgusted by simple butt joints and offensive pocket holes! Be fancier.
Lol 😆
Yep, nailed it! Speaking of nails - maybe I'll abandon pocket holes in favor of pounding nails straight through joints.
@@GunflintDesigns haha yes definitely! Make sure it’s off-center too
I’m really mad about you using pocket holes.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
So WTF is wrong with pocket holes? Sounds like you were expected to use a domino...
